2023 Dodge Challenger Review: New Dodge Challenger 2023

As early previews of Dodge have revealed a new plan of putting electric spins on a muscle car it will also need to weigh in on a V8 to adopt electrification which will push the car pushing the Challenger and Charger out of its reach.

2023 Dodge Challenger

We strongly believe this new perfume will be released in 2024 although as of today there are no confirmed specifications for this new vehicle. The outline suggests there may still be a V8-powered Charger and Challenger for the 2025 model year though it’s not official yet.

The definition I mean here is the trim level, option package, I’m there which is more comprehensive.

But what we believe is that this company is spectacular in providing its latest breakthroughs for motor vehicles and extraordinary design updates.

As far as we know, the planning for the manufacture of this electric motorized vehicle is very good the possibility that it will be built on the STLA Large platform.

The platform is a development from parent company Stellantis to support all-wheel-drive performance cars and this chassis cannot be refitted to take on a 6.2-liter supercharged V8.

2023 Dodge Challenger Redesign

This update is carried out with a CGI stage that borrows a design from the famous Aero car.

The design can be seen but the top is now lower and more pointed, then a similar approach is taken to the front. Other changes are also expected on a digital level with visual action and that’s to be expected for the real deal.

Meanwhile, discussing the potential for the Hybridization of the 2023 Dodge Challenger and the revised Charger may be combined with the FIAT Chrysler automobile and PSA group.

The deal has been made by the Canadian union Unifor and will be in production until 2023.

While it is known that this car will have a muscle pair which is confirmed to get three new derivatives that are not yet known specifically the transmission that is obtained through Hybridization ordered by FIAT Chrysler from ZF in 2019.

2023 Dodge Challenger Report

The latest report we got from a well-known online media that The Durango Hellcat is leaving. Last August you Nicky reported that Dodge’s new electric or car would arrive in 2024 and this was a clear conclusion.

In a report, last August Dodge CEO Kuniskis stated he would suggest some overlap between the next-generation electric muscle and the upcoming Hellcat, and that contradicts his latest statement that Definitively ends supercharged chargers and challengers by 2023. Therefore we expect dodge to make an official statement.

Coupled with a recent report Kuniskis stated Functional than EF cars will appear in 2022 which if we look at this is a concept for the definition of want to buy a wife and Dodge internal combustion for the future.

And also we think most of the build will be sped up for EV development maybe a Hellcat replacement could arrive a little earlier.

And we need to know that at least the Hemi V8’s power is still very good, but it doesn’t stop there Dodge will also launch a new Jailbreak version of the SRT Challenger and Charger Redeye models which offers attractive colors, of course, new colors, special badges and the increased output of the 6.2 liters Hellcat. to 807 horsepower.

2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

We all love the Hellcat, the ubiquitous badge representing the 707 or so supercharged horsepower thrown at a Dodge or Jeep product that was never designed for the task.

After an era where machines went into everything from the Ram to the Challenger to the other two Challenger levels, the Hellcat as we know it is finally headed for retirement.

We’ve known the apocalypse to be imminent since February, but exactly how long the great powers will last remains a mystery to this day.

2023 will be the final model year for this Hellcat incarnation, Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis told Motor Authority. That leaves just two years of Hellcats to buy, just two more years to hit the dealership and come out with a Charger or Challenger worth between 707 and 840 horsepower.

However, this is not the end of the big horsepower at Dodge. Kuniskis added that the company plans to reveal an electric concept early next year, previewing the announced electric muscle car that will debut for sale in 2024.

Also in 2022, Dodge will reveal a new plug-in hybrid that is not based on the existing model. and third, unrelated projects that have not been discussed.

Whether the cars sport the Hellcat badge or not in the future, expect big horsepower to be a core tenet of Dodge’s strategy in its electrification era. Until then, we have two more years of Hellcat as we know it.

Dodge’s future is suddenly much clearer and that includes electrification but not Hellcats.

We sat down with Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis at the 2021 LA auto show, and he outlined some of the things that will happen at Dodge over the next two years.

Regarding the Hellcat model, Kuniskis confirmed to Motor Authority “I will own this car, this platform, this powertrain as we know it until the end of ’23. There are two more years to buy the Hellcat, so that’s history.”

The 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is a finished model. Three-row people drive is available with the Hellcat engine for one year.

The reason is no secret: the engine will no longer meet emissions regulations on that platform. But that doesn’t apply to all Hellcats.

“You can still meet emissions with these cars. You’re going to pay a lot of compliance fines,” Kuniskis said, noting the line in the sand had to be drawn.

Starting in 2024, Dodge moves away from the Hellcat era with a new platform, new cars, and electrification.

Kuniskis handed us a 7×11 piece of cardstock called “24 Muscle Months” that will serve as a roadmap to 2024.

This arrival calendar for performance fans features 26 garage doors, four of which have been revealed so far, including the revival of a performance parts program. and Direct Connect, plus Jailbreak models for the 2022 Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeyes.

Some doors feature tantalizing symbols of what’s to come and not all of them are in chronological order, but there are 22 more doors to open.

The closing for these next 24 months and the last door on the calendar is the Dodge electric muscle car set to launch in 2024.

Three big doors will open in the coming year.

In the first quarter of 2022, Dodge will showcase a concept version of the 2024 electric muscle car. The EV concept will be a full working model capable of high-performance driving, according to Kuniskis.

Dodge will also reveal the EV’s performance specifications, along with all of Stellantis’ patented technology. The executive said Dodge plans to “do electrification differently than anyone else.” “That’s why I waited until all my patents were completed,” said Kuniskis.

Another important doorway is the introduction of plug-in hybrids. It will be a “new car, new” Kuniskis insists, not the current car.

The third big reveal will happen in 2022, but Kuniskis won’t say what it will be. “You’ll be happy about it,” said Kuniskis with a grin.

Kuniskis also said there would be absolutely no Hellcat version of the Chrysler Pacifica despite calls to the Hellcat of all things. Really, that’s just wishful thinking given Pacifica’s front-wheel-drive layout.

Regarding pushing the Hellcat bike into a Jeep Wrangler, Kuniskis says “that amount of power and speed while raising the center of gravity, even for me it’s, ah, a little tense. Better balanced with the weight of the car. 392.”

2023 Dodge Challenger Concept EV

2023 Dodge Challenger Concept If you look at some of the information currently available, the future of Dodge is very clear, including the electrification that will be implemented. According to the words of the CEO of Dodge TIM Kuniskis DOdge will come with the platform and powertrain until the end of 2023 and starting in 2024 Dodge moves from the Hellcat era with a new platform with electrification.

The Motor Authority CEO Dodge Kuniskis shared a card called 24 muscle moons as a souvenir that serves as a timeline for 2024. Its revival was coupled with a jailbreak model for the 2022 Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeyes.

When in the first quarter of 2002 the concept version of the 2024 electric motorbike will be introduced, this concept will go with high performance and become the newest model. Dodge also revealed the performance specifications of this EV along with the patented Stellantis technology.

A breakthrough from Dodge is an important thing it will become a Plug-in Hybrid and become a new car for the future.

Driving Dodge Challenger

As far as we know today this vehicle is a very powerful and fast SRT Super Stock with 807 horsepower It explodes from rest to 60 mph in just 3.25 seconds is impressive. The supercharged V8 engine in this car is very responsive to incorrect right foot flexion throttle input and the car can head to the display window before the driver remembers where the brake pedal is. The SXT and GT versions of the 2023 Dodge Challenger enjoy a more than adequate 303 horsepower without the rattling exhaust sound.

Favorite Features

  1. ALL-WHEEL DRIVE
It may go against the Challenger’s rear-drive muscle car ethos, but the all-wheel-drive works well in some ways. This provides a guarantee in tough conditions and allows the car to be more of a prospect throughout the year. And it contributes to grip and traction on dry terrain. Neither the Mustang nor the Camaro offers all-wheel drive.
  2. SRT HELLCAT REDEYE
Buying a 717-horsepower performance car for around $63k is a bargain. There are Challenger models with more power, but how often can drivers explore the potential of this version, let alone a bigger gun?

Standard Features

Starting with the rear-drive SXT model, the 2022 Challenger features 18-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, keyless entry/ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, upholstery with a cool houndstooth pattern, 6-way power-adjustable. driver’s seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and self-dimming mirrors.

As mentioned, the subsequent SXT and GT trims offer all-wheel drive. Entering further into the 2022 Challenger lineup features a more powerful engine, improved Brembo brakes, limited-slip differential, active exhaust system, launch control, Widebody package, larger alloy wheels, configurable driving modes, heated front seats, heated steering wheel , 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, satellite radio and a 276-watt Alpine audio system.

2023 Dodge Challenger Engine & Transmission

On its predecessor, there were four engines that were the population of the Challenger with three outputs from a supercharged V8.

The SXT and GT models have a 3.6-liter V6 engine that runs on regular gasoline, produces 303 horsepower, and is linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard, but it is the only Challenger variant to offer an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option.

The R/T has a 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 375 horsepower with the standard 6-speed manual transmission, or 372 horsepower with the optional 8-speed automatic. Dodge recommends premium gas with manual and mid-range (89-octane) gas with automatic. From now on, everything is premium.

The 6.4-liter V8 gives the R/T Scat Pack 485 horsepower. Again, a 6-speed manual transmission is standard and an 8-speed automatic is optional.

Dodge uses a supercharger (a form of forced induction, similar to a turbocharger) with a 6.2-liter V8 in the top three Challenger models. The SRT Hellcat pulses at 717 horsepower, the SRT Hellcat Redeye rattles at 797 horsepower, and the SRT Super Stock blurs the line to the space/time continuum with 807 horsepower.

Amazingly, the SRT Hellcat comes as standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, offering the option of an 8-speed automatic that comes standard on the Redeye and Super Stock.

Assuming potential Challenger buyers, especially those with V8s, aren’t bothered by concerns over fuel economy, then no one will object to the EPA figures given below. At least the V6 is not good enough.

    • 303 horsepower @ 6,350 rpm

2023 Dodge Challenger Price

For the price we really expect this 2023 Dodge Challenger to start at around $31,000. The Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang are smaller and not accommodating to rear passengers, but they are still considered the Challenger’s main rivals. The Camaro goes from around $25k to $63k for the 650-horsepower ZL1. The price of the Mustang starts at around $28k and ends in the $75k region with the 760-horsepower Shelby GT500.

Before you buy we recommend checking on her fair price purchase to find out what is being paid in your area. As for the resale value, it is usually not as strong as a whole, but it still survives and is quite good against its competitors.
