2023 RAM 2500 is expected to get a massive upgrade; this work is specifically for the 2023 RAM 2500 and the updated 3500, which shows improvements to the trailer and towing. We also expect the 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy-Duty upgrades to get an upgrade in the new high-tech upgrade. This prototype model is expected to incorporate many features into a smaller package,
In this option, a manual extension and a power in progress will carry out upgrades, including some power-adjustable heated glass, surveillance glass, integrated turn signals, LED puddle lights, blind spot indicators, and front and rear floodlights. Improvements are also expected in the 360-degree camera upgrade and two new cameras.
The competition in the automotive world, such as the Ford F-250 and Chevy Silverado 2500, is very fierce in increasing visibility. This is very important to improve the towing experience to avoid accidents and friction with obstacles.
Even the Chevy type offers up to eight cameras that display 15 different views with four angles complete for a trial run. Ford, on the other hand, provides a 360-degree camera and a bed camera, so it’s time for the Ram 2500 to catch up.
The 2023 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks receive a mid-cycle update that includes new technology. It could receive a slightly updated look, including a unique new edition colour, also expected to follow a new hood, bumper, LED headlights, and taillights.
On the tech front, there’s also hope for the Uconnect 5 infotainment software upgrade, which the system has personally tested and can confirm that it’s even faster with exciting new content.
The Silver Edition is available on the Lone Star, and the Big Horn trim is upgraded with lots of chrome exterior trim and black interior accents. This trim level also gets a new grille design.
The Power Wagon is also expected to get a unique grille with black headlamps all around and upgraded interior materials. It will also feature an electronic transfer box, a 12.0-inch touchscreen, and a 750-watt Harmon Kardon stereo.
Overall, the standard 6.4-litre V8 engine produces 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. You can opt for a 6.7-litre six-cylinder diesel engine for 370 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque. This is a stronger option for towing.
If properly equipped, the Ram 2500 can tow up to 20,000 lbs, and the Ram 3500 can pull up to 37,090 lbs. The Ram 3500 can carry a payload of up to 7,680 lbs, and the 2500 can carry up to 3,240 lbs.
Currently, the 2023 model is not expected to have towing or increased payload features. However, we will keep you updated if there are any changes. The 2022 and 2023 models have a lot of technology to make getting things done easier.

2023 RAM 2500 Reviews
To put it simply, the Heavy Duty Ram is the best truck in its segment and one of the best trucks on the market, as evidenced by its victory as Truck of the Year 2020.
In this ranking, we commend the design of a truck that is not only the most aerodynamic in its segment but also the most attractive. This design is reflected in an interior that looks and functions more like a tastefully decorated mobile office than a giant van.
Ram wouldn’t be a great pickup if it couldn’t tow, haul and work with the best of them, and that’s exactly what it does. The truck’s powerful, responsive gasoline engine and 850-pound Cummins diesel make it a toy for kids. For specs, the Laramie Cummins set up in our Ram 2500 remote seemed like the place to be.
The current 2500 also has a much more comfortable free ride than its predecessor. This comfort and easy diesel make the Ram a great cruiser.
Consider the Ram 2500’s price advantage over its rivals Ford and GM and its increasingly attractive entry-level and high-end models, which are far from the competition in terms of price.
The 2500 is Ram’s entry into the heavy-duty pickup segment. For the 2023 model year, it received moderate updates, including a new infotainment system and adjustments to its trim structure.
It was always equipped with a naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine or a turbocharged I6 diesel. Rivals include the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, GMC Sierra 2500HD, and Ford F250 Super Duty.
- Good choice of machines
- Off-road capable Power Wagon
- Well designed interior
The Ram 2500 is the best heavy-duty truck in its segment. It won the 2020 Truck of the Year award, and a new round of updates should keep it fresh, including the addition of the Uconnect 5, which has more processing power than the last generation Stallantis infotainment system.
The Ram 2500 is the most aerodynamic and looks better than its competitors. It also has a well-designed interior, with tasteful appointments and smart packaging.

We found the Ram 2500’s gas engine responsive, and its inline-six diesel engine is excellent for towing thanks to its 850 lb-ft of torque. Ride quality is another strong suit; a well-damped suspension and comfortable interior make 2500 a good companion for road trips. Finally, the Ram 2500 is cheaper than competitors from Ford and GM, making it a more attractive heavy-duty rig.

The Ram 2500 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 is the best choice when it comes to buying the Ram 2500. It has a lot of capability, luxury, and technology. We also recommend opting for an inline-six diesel engine to get the most out of this heavy-duty truck.
It costs a little over $7,000 compared to the Big Horn model but nets more on standard equipment and has many optional extras that can be added as part of the package or la carte. We drove the 2020 model year Ram 2500 Laramie 4×4 Cummins and felt like we defined a complete rig.

The strongest argument for a heavy-duty truck is that it can get more work done than a simpler half-ton pickup. Rear-drive regular cab diesel achieves the highest towing capacity; This truck can tow as much as 19,680 pounds. Similarly configured the 2500s with a gas V-8 pulling 17,350 pounds.
If you are after the maximum payload capacity, it makes more sense to choose a gasoline engine. The regular cab RWD gas truck can carry up to 4,380 pounds, while the diesel-powered example equates to 3,060 pounds.

Dodge RAM 2500 Engine
The Ram offers 2500 with two engine options: a gas V-8 or an inline-six diesel. The naturally aspirated 6.4-liter V-8 develops 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Opting for the diesel costs almost $9,500, but we think the 6.7-liter turbocharged inline-six is worth it. The optional engine produces 370 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque, which have proven far beyond adequate for hauling and towing in our tests.
The Ram offers two transmission options for the diesel model. An eight-speed automatic is standard, and a six-speed automatic is available as an option at no charge.
Each 2500 has a standard RWD, and 4WD is available. The Power Wagon model is only offered with full-time 4WD. Because the Ram 2500 is a heavy-duty truck, the EPA did not test its fuel economy figures.
Dodge RAM 2500 MPG
The smaller, sturdier Ram pickup can be ordered with a V8 petrol or inline six-cylinder diesel engine. High-speed automatic transmission to send power to the wheels. The EPA doesn’t rate fuel economy for heavy trucks, but when our RealMPG team tested the Ram 2500HD Power Wagon with 4WD and Crew Cab, it returned 10.2/15.3 mpg city/highway.
If you need maximum performance from your heavy RAM, opt for the diesel – it’s an expensive option ($9,300 for the 2020 model), but it’s worth it. Go diesel by replacing the V8 petrol and eight-speed automatic with a 6.7-litre turbo I6 and upgraded six-speed automatic.
The oil burner produces a good power of 370 hp and 850 Nm of torque. We didn’t get a chance to test the 2500 RealMPG diesel, but the 3500 Crew Cab model with 4WD and the high-output version of the I6 hit 13.2/18.0 mpg.
The Ram 2500 comes with standard all-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive is available, with the exception of the Power Wagon, which is only available with all-wheel drive.
2023 Dodge RAM 2500 Heavy Duty Big Horn/Lone Star Silver Edition
