New 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S BEV-Native STLA-Large Platform Review

Posted on

2025 Jeep Wagoneer S is one of the electric cars (EVs) that will be introduced shortly in North America. The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S comes fully powered by battery power, with our estimated range reaching 400 miles on a single charge.

Jeep authorities output 600 horsepower which will allow this electrified SUV to accelerate to 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds. The agenda for the introduction of the New 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S is something important where sales are expected to reach half of its sales in America by 2030.

As the electric Wagoneer approaches production, we can get a closer look at its stylish exterior and a glimpse of its upscale interior. The Wagoneer S will use Stellantis’ new STLA Large platform.

2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Review

The all-new 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S is already making a name for itself as it is Jeep’s first electric model, although it will take inspiration from the current petrol-powered model and combine it with EV-like features like an illuminated grille. This blend of modern and traditional styling elements gives the Wagoneer S a futuristic look, while still being recognizable as a Jeep.

The new 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S EV will be based on the Stellantis STLA Large vehicle platform, capable of supporting next-generation vehicles with combustion, hybrid, or all-electric drivetrains running on 400- or 800-volt architecture.

2025 Jeep Wagoneer S

The new Wagoneer S has been confirmed to only be offered in all-electric form, as the Jeep brand already sells four different Wagoneer SUV and Grand Wagoneer ICE models, as well as the gas-powered Grand Cherokee family and a midrange hybrid.

The Wagoneer S is part of Jeep’s larger plans for a fully electric 4xe vehicle. It will be one of four electric SUVs for North America and four for Europe by the end of 2025, where the entire lineup will have some degree of electrification, said Jeep brand CEO Christian Meunier.

2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Redesign

The new Wagoneer will be a premium midsize SUV designed to compete with the Land Rover Range Rover Sport when it becomes available in North America in 2024. The size issue could be expected to be as big as the current two-row Grand Cherokee, but with its swoopy look and new concept roof that plunges below the rear wing it’s a premium affair and updated grille with LED lighting to cut through the wind, making it a work of art from the brand’s DNA, said Stellantis head of design Ralph Gilles.

As seen in some of the photos we attached to this post, the New 2025 electric Wagoneer will look very similar to the original concept in 2022. The narrow headlights are equipped with daytime running lights that stretch over the illuminated version of Jeep’s seven-slot grille. Also revealed was the SUV’s release date a few weeks ago.

The new exterior images also appear to show a different set of rims than the concept, as they appear to feature a five-spoke design with thinner spokes behind them. The front doors also have “Wagoneer” badging with an American flag motif like other Jeeps in production.

Among the new photos is a close-up shot of the Wagoneer S’s integrated rear spoiler. The more prominent upper spoiler continues to extend from the roofline, as seen in the previous photo. The full-width taillights look like the previous version, but now there’s a “Jeep” script above the light bar versus the “Wagoneer” we’ve seen before.

Our first look at the electric Wagoneer’s interior shows a dashboard with four separate screens. Along with the gauge cluster showing full map mode, there’s a center touchscreen showing the high-end McIntosh sound system available on other Jeep models that will be offered on the Wagoneer S.

A second touchscreen with video playback capability is located in front of the passenger seat, and the bottom of the center stack features another touchscreen with controls for the climate system and other functions. The center console includes an illuminated vehicle on/off switch and rotary knob, which sits in front of five different driving modes: Sand, Snow, Eco, Auto, and Sport.

Additionally, the Wagoneer S will have stitched leather surfaces on the doors as well as ambient lighting from the dashboard to the doors. We also see a button on the bottom touchscreen to activate the massage chair for the lucky person upfront.

2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Specs

The Wagoneer S Concept Concept will offer us a range of 400 miles (although the STLA-Large is said to be capable of up to 500 miles), 0-60 mph acceleration in 3.5 seconds, and 0-60 mph acceleration in 3.5 seconds.

600 horsepower from a dual-motor setup likely offers all-wheel drive. It won’t be boring, and Gilles says S is for speed.

2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Interior

On the inside, the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S has a dashboard full of displays. Based on the released photos, we counted four displays, three of which appear to be touchscreens. Along with all the luxury technology, there are also rich materials throughout from the solid rotary knobs to the stitched surfaces on the doors to the ambient lighting that envelops the cockpit.

Not only that, Jeep also offers a panoramic sunroof as standard. A 19-speaker McIntosh sound system will also be part of the package and massaging front seats are also available.

The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S, with its screentastic dashboard offered on the SUV with a digital gauge cluster, dual center touchscreens, and passenger-facing touchscreen, looks to make the jump here, along with the Wagoneers’ two-spoke steering wheel.

EV Engine: Motor Performance

We are sure that the resulting performance is no joke. The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S will use the STLA Large platform, which features an 800-volt architecture. We expect the car to have a twin-engine all-wheel-drive powertrain.

The concept is said to have 600 horsepower which can send the EV SUV reaching speeds of 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds or at least that’s the target number.

Of course, we will continue to update this section with actual horsepower and performance estimates as they become available.

2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Price

As far as we know right now pricing on the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S is expected to start around $80,000 to $100,000 depending on trim and options. Of course, this is still a temporary assumption because Jeep has not released prices for the Wagoneer S and has not detailed the standard and optional features of the SUV.

We expect the car to command a premium over the petrol-powered model, although it will likely be offered in a similar trim structure.

  • Series I $80,000 (est)
  • Series II $90,000 (est)
  • Series III $100,000 (is)

2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Release Date

We assume Jeep will launch this fall with production in Mexico reported by Mopar Insiders to begin for deliveries later this year in all likelihood it will arrive as a 2025 model.

Apart from that, we will also continue to update for further details ahead of the launch of the SUV.

Verdict

The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S is the first eye-catching plug-in-hybrid SUV model sold in the US. Apart from being a powerful EV motorbike, the Wagoneer S also has a stylish exterior and upscale interior.

The electric Wagoneer will ride on the STLA Large platform with an estimated 400-mile battery-powered range and 600 horsepower output that will allow the electrified SUV to accelerate to 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds.
