1. Engine Problems

6. Problems with Defroster and Possible Rust Issues
The complaint filed under Visibility/Wipers and Structure comes from a Pennsylvania owner who describes how the system fails to function.
The defroster simply “blows straight up the width of the rearview mirror, causing my windshield to dew or freeze, and I (can’t) see.” In addition, the undercoating of the Jeep’s frame “was peeling off, making me very worried about road rust.”
These concerns were compounded by the fact that the frame welds had “quite a bit” of porosity. The owner is concerned that if the vehicle ever experiences a crash, the frame may not be “durable.”
Another concern was that the porous welds could harbor saltwater, causing them to rust. According to the complaint, this would make the already weak strength of the porous welds even weaker.
