2025 Jeep Compass: The new Jeep Compass will go into production in 2025 and will be available in both BEV and hybrid configurations. Workers at Stellantis’ Melfi facility in Italy should be upbeat about the future, as the automaker has committed production of five new midsize models between 2024 and 2026.
The next-generation Jeep Compass, the replacement to the defunct Opel Insignia, a new DS 9 flagship, the next-generation DS 7, and the Lancia Aurelia will all be based on the STLA Medium platform.
The elderly Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X, now manufactured at Melfi, will be phased out between 2024 and 2025, as will the second-generation Jeep Compass, which has been on the market primarily unchanged since 2016.
The new cars will be introduced in 2024, beginning with a DS Automobiles-branded vehicle, most likely a midsize fastback dubbed the DS 9. The all-new third-generation Jeep Compass will arrive in 2025 with BEV and hybrid powertrain options. Stellantis will also reveal the DS 7’s successor in 2025, which is believed to be an all-electric vehicle.
The team-bhp forum also revealed that the medium SUV will use a new base and be 4.5 meters long. According to one quote, the enigmatic teaser released a few weeks ago sparked debate among enthusiasts: “What will be the next electric Jeep?” The American manufacturer works on a fourth all-electric vehicle, followed by the Avenger 4×4, Recon, and Wagoneer S.
According to preliminary information, this new Jeep will come in the C category and might replace the existing Compass. The Compass is anticipated to be longer than 4.5 meters, providing substantial benefits in trunk capacity and interior space. According to the forecast, the next Jeep’s appearance will remain classic, with the iconic seven slits in the grille and the ever-present plastic protection in the wheel housings. Still, the cabin will acquire even more technology.
Many reports point to Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform being used for the Compass. This platform allows electric motors with capabilities ranging from 170 to 245 hp and batteries ranging from 87 to 104 kWh. Stellantis claims a range of around 700 km by utilizing the architecture’s total capacity.
The Jeep should be available in single-engine and twin-engine configurations, with maximum power close to 240-250 hp and a battery capacity of roughly 87 kWh to avoid making the car too heavy while remaining competitive with rivals. With a range of around 600 kilometers, the Compass might compete with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Volkswagen ID.4.
2025 Jeep Compass Review
The Jeep Compass enters its third model year with updates that make it a much better vehicle: a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Jeep made the second-best upgrade that same year, dropping prices in 2023, then did it again in 2024, slashing four figures from MSRP across the lineup. That decision drops the entry-level Sport trim to $27,495, where it remains until 2025. However, as the Compass continues to reduce trims, the Latitude Lux will no longer be available for the next model year.
We expect the 2025 Jeep Compass model to be refreshed with significant changes. Suggested retail prices for the 2025 Compass after destination charge of $1,595 and changes starting in 2024 are:
The 2025 Jeep Compass is expected to still have an all-wheel drive system as standard and an eight-speed automatic transmission. All models have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 200 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque.
The only novelty that welcomes buyers is the limited edition 2025 Jeep Compass exterior color of Joose, a name so mysterious that we don’t know what color it will be.
Next year’s Compass is a runout ahead of the next-generation Compass, which will add a hybrid powertrain to the lineup and has the potential to be all-electric. The Brampton, Ontario, Canada plant that builds the Compass for our market will be retooled to assemble the more significant crossover on the STLA Medium architecture that is thought to be copied from the recently introduced Peugeot 5008 hybrid and E-5008 electric vehicle.
We could see Jeep moving away from the Pug’s high-tech interior for a more off-road cabin, but the 5008’s hard points and styling hint at a Compass with more range between luxury and utility, more space, and more refinement than we’ve had so far.
The Hybrid model’s drivetrain uses a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that produces a combined output of up to 195 horsepower and 222 pound-feet of torque; pure electric-powered models are rated at up to 326 hp.
Update: Jeep Compass 2025
Jeep Compass 2025 Goes Electric and Ups its Style to Compete with Grand Cherokee. Stellantis recently announced its plans to focus on electrifying its Jeep lineup, shifting away from its Dodge models. Jeep plans to introduce electrified versions of its vehicles by 2025 and four new electric SUVs. Two electric SUVs have already been announced: the Avenger for Europe and the Recon for North America, a Wrangler EV.
The Avenger is designed for off-road adventures, while the Recon is more suited for luxury mall crawling. These new electric SUVs are exciting not only because they are part of Stellantis’ electrification plan but also because they offer insight into the future of the rest of the lineup.
To keep fans engaged, Brazil-based CGI artist Kleber Silva, also known as KDesign AG on social media, has created a futuristic rendering of the next-generation Jeep Compass, taking inspiration from the Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer S full-EV.
Silva’s design deviates significantly from the first two generations of the Jeep Compass, as it looks more like a midsize SUV than a compact crossover. The artist drew inspiration from the Grand Cherokee to create the sleek, muscular look of the Compass. Meanwhile, the electrified and stylish DNA of the Jeep Wagoneer S is also evident in the design.
It remains unclear whether the new Jeep Compass will be fully electric or if it will retain some of its ICE credentials, although it is likely to be hybridized. Stellantis’ plans to electrify its Jeep lineup signal its commitment to sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.
The Jeep Compass 2025 has long been a popular choice among SUV enthusiasts, and this new model is set to up its game, threatening the Grand Cherokee’s dominance in the midsize SUV market. Jeep fans can look forward to the electrified versions of their favorite SUVs and the new models set to join the lineup in the coming years.
In this day and age, the second-generation Jeep Compass is considered ancient. It began production in 2016 following mid-cycle revisions obtained three years earlier. However, the Stellantis-owned brand is undergoing a complete redesign.
According to the latest report from the Cristian Gnaticov Autoevolution team, the next-generation Jeep Compass is expected to be introduced within two years. The crossover is expected to debut in 2025, and when the first units leave the Melfi factory in Italy, where they will be assembled, they will likely be 2026 models.
Stellantis is producing additional models at Melfi besides the next Jeep Compass. Reportedly, the DS 7, DS 9, successor to the Opel Insignia, and Lancia Aurelia are among them. You ask, “What do they have in common?” The STLA Medium platform will be the basis for additional models produced within the automotive conglomerate.
This brings us to the next narrative segment, which concerns the powertrain lineup. It should be a series of powertrains, considering that the architecture above is highly adaptable and supports multiple assemblies. Consequently, the next-generation Jeep Compass will debut with a self-charging internal combustion engine, possibly complementing a battery-electric model.
As a result, an apparent price increase is anticipated for the upcoming iteration. After the Renegade, the Compass is currently the second most affordable Jeep in the United States, with the entry-level model priced at $28,400. However, the Renegade starts at $28,345. Dealer markups and destination charges are not included in any price.
Having discussed some of the prospects for the upcoming Jeep Compass, it is now appropriate to speculate about its aesthetics. It is conceivable that the styling is incomplete; therefore, these instructions should be interpreted skeptically.
New Jeep Compass 2025
So far, Stellantis has announced plans for the Melfi factory in Italy. The factory can produce 1,600 cars per day but currently produces about half as many, making the Jeep Compass, Jeep Renegade, and Fiat 500X.
This manufacturer will start producing the latest Jeep Compass in 2025. The new Compass will be based on the new STLA platform and available as an EV and a Hybrid, at least in some markets.
More models from other Stelantis brands, such as the new DS9 and DS7, will also be produced there. The latest large EV, Opel, is considered the successor to Insignia. Lancia also has a new large model called Aurelia. The new Peugeot e-3008 is the first model to use the new platform.
Although the Italian production of the Jeep Compass 2025 EV means there are no federal incentives in the US, the Jeep is also currently produced in Mexico for the North American market. It will probably continue to be made in the next generation.
2025 Jeep Compass Redesign
The 2025 Jeep Compass is expected to undergo a significant redesign and refresh on the interior and exterior. The new design is expected to be more modern and sleek, with a sharper and aggressive look. The interior will likely be upgraded with a more user-friendly infotainment system, better quality materials, and more comfortable seats.
KDrawing inspiration from the Lynk & Co 08 and combining elements from the current Compass and Wagoneer, KDesignag sought to conceptualize the potential design of the next-generation Compass. Overall, the car is easily recognizable as a Jeep product, at least based on the standard grille on the front, and its looks are no less attractive.
Digital artists rearranged some of the pixels to give us an informal look inside the cabin; we wouldn’t be surprised if the structure were similar to this rendering. You’ll agree that the vehicles depicted in these visual effects are compelling.
2025 Compass Specs
The 2025 Jeep Compass is expected to come with exciting new features and specifications. The vehicle will be built on an all-new platform and is expected to be lighter and more efficient than previous models. The new platform will also provide more space for passengers and cargo, making it an ideal family car.
In terms of powertrain, the new Jeep Compass is expected to come with a range of options, including a four-cylinder turbocharged engine and a hybrid powertrain. The hybrid powertrain is expected to provide better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions, making it an ideal choice for eco-conscious buyers.

News: Jeep Compass Subcompact SUV 2025
The new Jeep Compass will enter production in 2025 and be offered in BEV and hybrid forms.
Workers at the Stellantis-owned Melfi plant in Italy should feel optimistic about the future, as the automotive giant confirmed the production of 5 new midsize models between 2024 and 2026. Those will reportedly be the next-gen Jeep Compass, the successor of the discontinued Opel Insignia, a new DS 9 flagship, the next-gen DS 7, and the Lancia Aurelia, all based on the STLA Medium platform.
According to Automotive News Europe, the FIM-Cisl, Uilm, Fismic, and Ugl unions revealed the news after meeting with automaker’s representatives last Tuesday. Stellantis had already confirmed it would produce five new EVs for the Melfi plant but hadn’t disclosed the timing of their launch until now. The announcement is said to have “smoothed” labor relationships in Europe amidst the strikes in North America.
The aging Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X, currently produced at Melfi, will bow out sometime between 2024 and 2025, as with the second generation of the Jeep Compass that has been around since 2016.
The rollout of the new models will start with a DS Automobiles-branded vehicle in 2024, which will likely be a midsize fastback reportedly adopting the DS 9 moniker. Next will be the all-new third generation of the Jeep Compass, coming in 2025 with BEV and hybrid powertrain options. In 2025, Stellantis will also reveal the successor of the DS 7, which is expected to be an EV-only affair.
In 2026, Stellantis will start production of the Opel Insignia successor, a fully electric fastback crossover borrowing elements from the recently revealed Opel Experimental concept. Finally, in the same year, Lancia will introduce Fiat’s historical factory crossover riding on STLA Medium underpinnings. This platform was recently introduced with the new Peugeot E-3008 and will be used in an army of models from all Stellantis brands.
The Italian government is said to offer incentives to push Stellantis to produce 1 million vehicles per year in Italy, up from fewer than 700,000 units last year due to supply issues. Specifically, at the Melfi plant, the production output has fallen from 393,000 units in 2015 to only 163,646 in 2021. Hopefully, this trajectory will change with the additions, bringing new life to the factory floor.
Report: Jeep Compass 2025
Jeep’s move towards electrification is irreversible, and by 2030, the company will stop selling thermal vehicles in Europe. Jeep will renew all its existing models by then, and two critical models in the pipeline are the upcoming electric versions of the Renegade and Compass.
The Avenger is Jeep’s first 100% electric model, followed by the 4xe hybrid versions of the Renegade and Compass and the recently launched Wagoneer S 4xe. According to L’argus, a French automotive news outlet, Jeep’s plans include releasing the Compass BEV in 2025 and the Renegade BEV in 2026.
The Compass BEV will be built on the STLA medium platform, which Stellantis engineers are developing for their compact range. The Renegade BEV, on the other hand, will be built on the base STLA Small platform, and its production will take place in Fiat’s historical factory in Melfi, Italy.
The factory is expanding its capacity to assemble new iterations of the Renegade and Compass, the DS Aero Sports Lounge, the DS 7 second generation, the Vauxhall Manta SUV, and Lancia SUVs.
Integrating the new STLA Medium platform in the Melfi factory will be similar to what has already been done with Peugeot’s factory in the French city of Sochaux.
Tesbecomingata of the upcoming electric models could be seen in the next few months as the factory construction continues. Jeep’s electrification plans are expected to continue as the company moves towards a greener future.
2025 Jeep Compass Hybrid
The 2025 Jeep Compass update still includes a Hybrid or EV model, with the base model of the Gen-3 CUV redesigned using the CGI concept. We saw rumors about a possible 2025 Jeep Compass equipped with gasoline and hybrid power since the company has promised that all model lines will be electric starting in 2025.
Since the STLA Medium Platform is not too small, the next-generation Jeep Compass might likely increase in length by about five inches. Its powertrain could include hybrid and all-electric options since its architecture easily accommodates both. The next Jeep Compass could be a critical model for the company as the Renegade is retiring, especially if Stellantis wants to incorporate it into the $25k Jeep EV for America narrative.
CGI experts highly doubt Jeep will be able to deliver a $25k model in the US market, which would deal a big blow to Tesla and Chevrolet’s new Equinox EV, which will come with a $35k trim version later this year. So what do you think? Should we prepare for a true Jeep revolution with the $25k all-electric SUV, the third-generation Compass CUV, and the new 2026 Jeep Cherokee, which finally deserves to be its illustrious ancestor?
This imaginative CGI concept was created by digital car content creator Vince Burlapp (aka burlap on social media), a prolific virtual artist who loves to dream up all the latest models in the automotive field. Thank you, burlap, for the fantastic design.
2025 Jeep Compass Trailhawk
2025 Jeep Compass Trailhawk: The Compass collection includes everything from the entry-level Sport trim to the off-road-friendly Trailhawk, which has lower gears and a wider turning radius for light off-roading. While other compact crossovers, like the Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5, have better performance, roominess, and ride, the Compass is the cheaper and better option.
The Jeep Compass fills the gap between Jeep’s compact SUV and subcompact. It has a larger cabin and load space than the more petite Renegade but lacks the size of the larger Cherokee. This Goldilocks strategy may appeal to buyers who have limited parking or don’t need the added cargo capacity of a compact SUV.
The Trailhawk trim may also appeal to off-road enthusiasts who navigate roads inaccessible to larger four-wheel vehicles. We don’t expect significant changes to the 2024 Compass, which received a more powerful engine and standard all-wheel drive last year.
Compass found its niche as an early entrant in the ambiguous compact-tween, subcompact-plus market. However, the sector has been filled with more sophisticated opponents since its inception. The Compass isn’t exceptionally comfortable, quiet, or fuel-efficient, and its interior layout is confusing. Infotainment can be a mixed bag.
However, the Trailhawk trim is the Compass’ strongest suit. Its superior all-wheel drive, taller suspension, all-terrain tires, and underbody protection set it apart from its competitors in off-road driving. For sure, buyers, the Compass’s off-road capabilities can offset its everyday shortcomings.
2025 Jeep Compass Blackhawk 4×4
The new Compass Blackhawk, epitomizing Jeep’s commitment to performance and a sporty feel, debuts as the pinnacle of the 2025 Compass lineup. With distinctive dark accents and exclusive design elements, including 19-inch alloy wheels with Red brake calipers, the Blackhawk exudes an aura of athleticism and sophistication.
On the inside, the Blackhawk features exclusive leather and suede upholstery, power seats for the driver and passenger, and advanced features such as Jeep® Performance Pages, which provide real-time track data to enthusiasts for an immersive driving experience.
With its aggressive styling, premium comfort, and high-performance capabilities powered by the Hurricane4 engine, the Blackhawk sets a new standard for luxury and excitement in the Brazilian C-SUV segment.
Despite being the best-selling vehicle in its segment, there is a Compass for every taste, from the Sport and Longitude models to the Limited and S Series and now the cutting-edge Blackhawk edition. Despite the added features and upgrades, Jeep has managed to keep prices competitive, with reductions of up to R$20,000 (or approximately USD 3,630) compared to the 2024 lineup.
Prices start at R$179,990 (or approximately USD 32,600) for the Sport model and range to R$279,990 (roughly USD 50,700) for the new flagship Blackhawk. Compass, combining performance, technology, and affordability, is poised to maintain its position as a leader in the Brazilian SUV market.
2025 Jeep Compass EV
Jeep is utilizing Stellantis technology to accelerate its transition to electric vehicles. The Compass is just one of its existing vehicles that will use a new all-electric platform, making it the next EV in Jeep’s lineup.
Jeep has previously stated that it will have a lineup of four electric vehicles by 2025, with the new Avenger being the most miniature model using the STLA Small architecture, and the flagship Wagoneer S has luxurious features and EV technology beyond the current Grand Cherokee.
We expect Compass to be the fourth model in the lineup since the STLA Small platform is scheduled to arrive in 2026, which is later than the anticipated completion of the four-car lineup.
Jeep plans to use the Medium electric platform, which is expected to be available by the end of 2023, for the Compass.
This platform will offer ranges of up to 400 miles, and all STLA platforms will have four-wheel drive capability, an important selling point for Jeep. The electric motors available on the STLA platforms will have a total output range of 168bhp to 241bhp.
Jeep sources suggest that the introduction of the Avenger will allow the Renegade and Compass to increase in size, with the Compass becoming a full-size family SUV within Jeep’s electric plan.
The Compass will continue to offer a contemporary look, while the Renegade has a boxy, retro shape. Unlike the Avenger, which will only be available in Europe and not planned for the United States, both models will be sold globally.
An exclusive image of the Compass suggests that it will have a ground-up, pure-electric base with design cues from the Avenger.
Exterior: Jeep Compass 2025
The exterior of the 2025 Jeep Compass is expected to be more refined, with a sleeker and more modern design. The vehicle will have a more aggressive grille, headlights, and a more aerodynamic body.
