2025 RAM 2500 is a truck with a choice of two great engines, following the success achieved by the previous model. Hence, the latest model in 2025 is also expected to bring some amazing and impressive features.
However, until now, there has been no official information from RAM. However, the information from Andre Smirnov on the TFLTruck website reveals that Ram Trucks promises that the new Ram HD will be available later this year (in 2024). A company spokesperson did not provide the announcement’s exact timing or relevance. This is an important message because we often receive the following question: “When will the new or updated Ram HD be available?”
We know the Ford Super Duty recently underwent a complete overhaul and redesign for the 2023 model year. For the 2024 model year, GM’s heavy-duty pickup truck received many updates and additional trim levels. Will 2025 be the year of the Ram HD truck? We’ll have to wait and see.
The 2025 Ram 1500 has exterior design modifications, interior updates (larger screen), a new Tungsten trim level, core electrical system upgrades, over-the-air update capability, and new powertrain options. If we look into a crystal ball and anticipate the future, we might see similar modifications to the Ram HD line of trucks.
Well, let’s read about the extent of the breakthrough in the model 2025 RAM 2500 Reviews, Specs, and Price, which we present in full below.
2025 RAM 2500 Review
The 2025 RAM 2500 Heavy Duty brand’s top contenders for maximum towing capacity are the enormous 2500 and 3500 HD pickups. When equipped with the high-output 400-horsepower 2025 RAM 2500 Cummins diesel inline-six, the Ram 3500 can tow an impressive 37,090 pounds thanks to the powertrain’s exceptional 1075 pound-feet of torque.
Even with the standard 410-horsepower Hemi V-8 engine, the 2025 Ram HD still boasts impressive towing numbers that rival competitors like the Chevrolet Silverado HD and Ford Super Duty trucks. While the heavy-duty Ram trucks are undeniably robust, the driving experience from the driver’s seat is a little more refined.
Like the full-size Ram 1500 half-ton pickup, the 2025 Dodge RAM 2500 and 3500 models prioritize interior comfort and refinement. For those seeking a mix of work and adventure, the off-road-oriented 2025 RAM Power Wagon and Rebel models feature skid plates, all-terrain suspensions, and off-road tires designed to sling mud.
While many buyers of 2025 Ram HD trucks opt for the 2025 Dodge RAM 2500 Diesel engine and are willing to pay more, the standard 2025 RAM 2500 6.4 Hemi liter gas engine with 410 horsepower is also competent, even in the Ram 3500. For the best combination of capability, space, luxury, and affordability, it is recommended to go with the most popular model, the 2500 4×4 Crew Cab Laramie.
Even though 2025 RAM 2500 Truck more units are sold with the 2025 RAM 2500 Cummins engine, it is better to stick with the 410-horsepower V-8 engine, which is quicker in city driving and paired with an excellent eight-speed automatic transmission, unless you prioritize towing large trailers. Buyers can save money and invest in features like the limited-slip differential and load-leveling air suspension, further enhancing the Ram truck’s impressive ride quality.

What’s New
Ram’s decision to release these photos early is a smart move, as it allows them to showcase the trucks in a professional light before spy photos with poor angles or low-quality images emerge.
This proactive approach reminds me of when I had a good relationship with Ram, and a spy photographer once sent me uncamouflaged photos of a 2019 Ram Heavy Duty truck. I told Ram in advance, and they laughed, admitting they expected it.
By releasing the official photos now, Ram controls the narrative before the techies unleash the camouflage.
While the exterior changes are subtle, the 2025 Ram 2500 Rebel presents a sharp update overall. Truck enthusiasts may be reluctant to the changes, but like the launch of the 2019 Ram 1500 (DT) and the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty lineup, initial complaints will likely become accepted as loyalists like the new design.
We’ll have to wait for the truck’s official launch to get more detailed information, though we have some insight into its drive system. Stay tuned to MoparInsiders.com for all the latest updates on the 2025 Heavy Duty lineup as they become available.
2025 Ram 2500 Rebel Crew Cab 4×4
Ram also gave us a sneak peek at the updated 2025 Ram 2500 Rebel, which appears to be a new Forged Blue exterior color. The Rebel’s front end is distinctive, featuring a grille insert design unique to this trim (and likely the Power Wagon).
The design is rather busy, with a mix of horizontal and vertical bars and varying sizes of vertical bars in rectangular inserts flanking the RAM logo. While the truck’s Forged Blue color and updated headlight design are attractive, the Rebel’s grille inserts may take some getting used to.
The 20-inch wheels and Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires appear to be carried over from the previous model for 2025.
Ram also shared a rear view of the 2025 Ram 2500 Rebel. Overall, everything looks the same except for the new taillight design, which is a nice update.
2025 Ram 2500 Laramie Sport Crew Cab 4×4
This photo appears to show the 2025 Ram 2500 Laramie Sport. Compared to the Tradesman trim, the upgraded LED headlamps have four projectors on each side and accent lights at the top.
Notably, the camera housing under the “A” on the RAM emblem is equipped with a camera, indicating the presence of a 360-degree camera system. As with the Tradesman, the radar cruise sensor is integrated into the lower part of the front grille, which signals a nice update to the Laramie trim level.
2025 Ram 3500 Tradesman
The photo above shows the 2025 Ram 3500 Tradesman. Based on this image, the new Heavy-Duty lineup will feature standard LED reflector headlamps, similar to the 2025 Ram 1500. In addition, a radar cruise sensor is visible in the center of the grille, positioned just above the front bumper.
If Ram follows the same approach as the Ram 1500 2025, all Ram Heavy-Duty trucks may have adaptive cruise control (ACC) as standard equipment.
You can also see a mount for the front camera under the letter “A” in the RAM script on the grille. Upon closer inspection, however, there doesn’t appear to be an actual camera in the casing-just a dummy.
This move reflects Ram’s approach with the 2025 1500 model year and likely aims to reduce component complexity.
2025 RAM 2500 News
Insiders Say the 2025 Ram HD Truck Will Have a More Powerful Cummins Diesel Engine and a new 8-speed ZF Automatic Transmission. TFLtruck, an online media outlet providing information on the automotive news world, has confirmed this information.
Reports suggest the 2025 Ram HD will utilize more powerful 2025 RAM 2500 Cummins turbodiesel engines and a new 8-speed ZF Powerline automatic transmissiturbodieselavy-duty pickup truck lineup currently offers the following turbodiesel engine options:
- Ram 2500: standard output 370 hp @ 2,800 turbodiesel of torque @ 1,700 rpm
- Ram 3500: high output 420 hp @ 2,800 rpm & 1,075 lb-ft of torque @ 1,800 rpm (standard output).
The new report says the 2025 Ram HD truck will offer one Cummins turbodiesel engine option with a higher output than the currently available 2500 6.4 Hemi V8 gasoline engine, which will remain in use. No power ratings have been disclosed yet, and Ram Trucks has yet to confirm this information officially.
Other unconfirmed reports suggest that Ram and Cummins are working on a larger displacement inline-6 engine that could reach 7.2 liters. The current power leader in this segment is the high-powered 6.7-liter Ford Powerstroke V8, which has 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque. Ram’s new diesel engine can at least match Ford’s torque figures; we’ll have to wait and see.

Ram says it will launch the new Ram HD lineup later this year, but we have yet to set an exact date.
The second report says the Ram HD pickup truck will use ZF’s new Powerline 8-speed automatic transmission. TFLtruck visited Germany to attend ZF’s Global Technology Day, where we saw the new 8-speed Powerline transmission and spoke with the engineers who designed it.
It is an impressive unit with a maximum torque rating of up to 1,400 NM or 1,035 lb-ft for commercial truck applications. This torque rating may be higher for lighter, heavy-duty pickup trucks.
ZF is known throughout the industry for its tough and durable transmissions. The Ram 1500 truck has used several versions of ZF’s lighter 8HP75 transmission, which continues to be used in the 2025 Ram 1500.
The current RAM HD with the 2025 RAM 2500 6.4 Hemi V8 gas engine also uses a version of the 8HP75 transmission. We expect the new HD transmission version to be called the 8HP140, but this is still speculation.
Ram has not confirmed that its HD diesel pickup truck will use the ZF transmission. The new transmission’s benefits include improved fuel efficiency and increased acceleration.
We will update you on how the new transmission performs when towing trailers and testing.
All-New 2025 RAM 2500 Updates
2025 RAM 2500 Changes: This time, we had the opportunity to update you on some of the latest 2025 RAM model updates. Exterior updates were also made, but significant changes were made to the powertrain. The 2025 Heavy Duty lineup will receive a considerable update following the 2025 Ram 1500 design cues.
This refreshed model will feature a new grille design, updated headlights, updated front bumper, and new taillights. However, those hoping to transition from the fourth-generation heavy-duty cabin to the fifth-generation design may need to wait a little longer, as the latest spy photos reveal that the cabin design remains unchanged.
Interior and technology upgrades include the introduction of a 14.5-inch touchscreen, which will be standard on higher trims and optional on mid-level trims. The 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 system is likely to continue in the Tradesman model, and the 12.1-inch Uconnect 5 system also makes a return, as evidenced in these spy images.
Also uncertain is whether the updated Heavy-Duty truck will adopt the new Atlantis electrical architecture debuting on the 2025 Ram 1500. Without this update, technologies such as passenger screens, head-up displays (HUDs), and hands-free highway driving features may not be available on the current 2500/3500 models.
Exterior-wise, the Heavy-Duty models will retain most of their current styling, except for an updated grille, headlights, possibly a new front bumper, and taillights. The new headlight module has horizontal styling elements that likely carry over from the grille, separating the headlights and turn signals. LED headlamps are expected to be standard across all trims.
Based on the exhaust, this pre-production model is likely testing the 6.4-liter Hemi V8, rumored to receive an emissions-focused update. While speculation has been about including a new twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six engine, current insights suggest that the engine will not soon feature in the Heavy-Duty lineup.
The spotlight will likely be on the 2025 RAM 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel powertrain. Ram is set to replace the older 68RFE and Aisin AS69RC 6-speed automatic transmissions with the more modern and efficient ZF Powerline 8-speed automatic transmission. According to our sources, Ram plans to capitalize on this move by opting for a single diesel powertrain option over the standard output and high output strategy they have used for over ten years.
With this update, there is intense anticipation around increased power and torque in the Cummins engine. Ram aims to surpass the benchmark set by Ford’s 6.7-liter Powerstroke High Output, which produces 500 horsepower and 1200 lb-ft of torque. 2025 will be an exciting year for the Ram brand, with significant updates across its most popular products.

2025 RAM 2500 Redesign
The 2025 RAM 2500 will undergo significant design changes. The vehicle will have a more modern and elegant appearance, with a larger and more aggressive grille. The more aerodynamic design will make the car more fuel-efficient, while the better suspension will make the driving experience more comfortable. In addition, the vehicle will also be equipped with new features such as a 360-degree camera and LED lights.
Ram Trucks is in jeopardy as one of its main competitors has quietly dethroned the rugged 1500 TRX model as the full-size, high-performance pickup truck champion.
Interestingly, Ram had predicted this for a long time. After all, the 2023 Ram TRX has nine versions and starts at $85,700, while the 2024 model costs over $10,000 more and has a starting MSRP of $95,735. Even worse, the TRX is the final model year for the 702 hp 6.2-liter supercharged V8-powered monster, as the updated 2025 model lineup no longer includes it.
Speaking of the 1500 series, Ram released a complete redesign of its family, with the 3.6-liter V6 eTorque engine being the only exception. Besides the base powerplant, there will no longer be a Hemi V8 option, and instead, Ram will launch a 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six turbo engine with 420 or 540 horsepower.
There’s also a new Ram 1500 Ramcharger in town. It has a 3.6-liter V6 engine that drives a generator that recharges the big battery—this range-extender model is rated at 663 horsepower.
So, what does the future hold for the Ram Trucks brand? According to digital automotive content developer Inventive Domain, it’s time to overhaul the Ram 2500 and 3500 HD series.
2025 RAM 2500 Refresh
At least, that’s what the folks at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube think, who have created a CGI rendering of an undisclosed 2025 or 2026 Ram HD model with a facelift. After a sabbatical from CGI duties, the pixel master is back with a bang with the 2025 RAM Heavy Duty truck.
After all, it’s not that difficult. Following in the footsteps of the revised 1500 series, the 2500 and 3500 HD will receive slight modifications, such as new headlight styling and slightly modified bumpers. More importantly, the hosts are confident they will follow suit and use the Hurricane factory and the range-extending 663 hp 1500 series plug-in EV.
On the other hand, Enthusiasts would like to see an updated transmission for the Cummings diesel and a high-output version become the standard engine worldwide.
Ford looks as strong as ever in the battle for supremacy in the full-size pickup truck segment. The all-new fifth-generation Super Duty is already rolling out from Kentucky Truck Assembly and Ohio Assembly, as are the 2024 F-150s, including the upgraded 720 hp Ford F-150 Raptor R, which will arrive at dealers nationwide.
It seems GM is waiting to see what Ford and Ram do for the 2024 and 2025 model years—or perhaps they’re too busy with the Silverado EV and Sierra EV issues to worry about conventional versions.
2025 RAM 2500 Interior
The interior of the 2025 RAM 2500 will also undergo significant changes. The vehicle will have a larger touchscreen and a more advanced infotainment system.
In addition, drivers will also enjoy new features such as voice recognition and gesture control that will make vehicle operation more accessible and safer. The cabin will also be equipped with higher-quality materials, providing a more luxurious driving experience.
Technology
Not only performance but the RAM 2500 will also be equipped with more advanced technology. Features such as a larger touch screen, a more accurate navigation system, and a 360-degree camera will make the driving experience more accessible and safer.
In addition, the RAM 2500 will also be equipped with intelligent features such as voice recognition and gesture control that will make it easier for drivers to operate the vehicle.
More Modern Design
The 2025 RAM 2500 has always been known for its rugged and masculine design. However, in 2025, it will undergo a more modern and stylish design change.
The RAM 2500’s more aerodynamic design will make it more fuel-efficient, while its more elegant exterior appearance will make it even more appealing.
Better Off-road Capability
The RAM 2500 has always been a vehicle of choice for off-road enthusiasts. In 2025, it will be equipped with even better off-road capabilities.
A more advanced 4-wheel drive system will enable the vehicle to pass through various rugged terrains. In contrast, a better traction control system will stabilize the car in heavy terrain conditions.
Comfort
The 2025 Dodge RAM 2500 front and rear seats will be very comfortable. They are soft, well-padded, and have plenty of adjustability.
The soft-touch surfaces are very comfortable for hands and elbows. The ride on the highway is as good as you’d expect in a 2500, which means it’s bumpy but not annoying.
Climate control is operated via the touchscreen and some button controls, but touchscreen functions are hard to find. With the optional diesel powertrain, there’s a lot of vibration coming through the pedals and steering wheel and a constant hum on the highway that’s not completely inaudible for the class but still annoying.
Storage
We were pleased with its towing and storage capabilities. Since the 2025 Dodge RAM 2500’s towing and hauling capabilities are huge. The exclusive kneeling function of the available rear air suspension makes loading and hooking a trailer a breeze.
The Ram’s maximum payload and towing capacities are impressive despite tough competition.
The Ram 2500’s center console storage is huge, and the cab’s rear has a large cargo capacity.
If you have kids, the ultra-wide rear seats can easily accommodate three child seats, and the seat anchors are accessible.
2025 RAM 2500 Exterior
2025 RAM 2500 Engine
2025 RAM 2500 Engine Options: We predict that the new 2025 Ram 2500 could be ordered with a 2025 RAM 2500 6.4 Hemi V8 engine (410 horsepower/429 pound-feet). If you prefer diesel, opt for the 6.7-litre Cummin I6 (370 horsepower/850 lb-ft). While the 2025 Ram 1500 will get a 540-horsepower I6, the Ram 2500 appears to lag for at least the next model year.
Despite comparing different Ram horsepower ratings, heavy-duty diesel truck lovers understand that torque is the most critical metric for towing. The 2025 RAM 2500 Cummins I6 is one of the most significant towing engines available due to its standard output of 850 lb-ft.
The high-output Cummins (only available on the Ram 3500) produces 420 horsepower and 1,075 pound-feet of torque. Diesel fans appreciate this engine’s flat torque profile. But do you know what torque curve is flatter? Ram 1500 Rev.
A 250 kWh drive unit will power each axle of the electric Ram 1500. Power can reach 663 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque. The great thing about an EV is that it produces maximum torque at 0 RPM.

With so much power, it’s no surprise that Ram offers its electric 1500 that can tow 14,000 pounds. That’s about the same as some configurations of the V8 2500. Towing can reduce an electric truck’s range by half.
Ram’s response to this dilemma is the new Ramcharger pickup truck, featuring an electric drivetrain and a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. The internal combustion engine is not connected to the wheels but connects to the battery. When the truck battery is low, the engine automatically starts and recharges the battery.
Under the hood, the RAM 2500 in 2025 will be equipped with a more advanced and efficient engine. The vehicle will have more powerful engine options, including more efficient and environmentally friendly diesel engines.
The four-wheel drive system will also be improved, with better traction control and off-road capabilities. The vehicle will also have more responsive braking systems and advanced safety features.
Performance
The RAM 2500 has been known as a rugged and reliable vehicle on and off-road. However, the RAM 2500 in 2025 will have even better performance. With a more advanced and efficient engine, it will produce more power yet have lower exhaust emissions.
In addition, a better suspension system will also make the driving experience more comfortable.
2025 RAM HD
2025 Ram 2500 at a glance The latest information from online media Mopar Insiders posted in March about diesel engine rumors related to the 2025 Ram Heavy Duty lineup. The truck brand will trim the two 6.7-liter Cturbodieselodiesel engine options to one more powerful thturbodieselodiesel engine sold today.
Purchasers of the 2025 Ram 2500 can select a Cummins Standard-Output (SO) diesel engine, which generates 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. Alternatively, purchasers of the 3500 can opt for the High-Output (HO) version, which produces 420 horsepower and 1,075 pound-feet of torque-feet.
MI credits “sources within the company” for confirmation of a single engine for next year, with one insider hoping that “this engine will surpass the performance metrics of the current H/O variant, promising more power and torque.”
For context, the 2025 Ram 2500’s 6.7-liter Scorpion V8 diesel engine produces 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft in base form, or 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft in HO form. We’re guessing this is what Ram is aiming for; Ram is still pushing hard on its 2025 RAM 2500 Cummins brand and offerings and has upped the diesel engine’s torque rating to 1,075 lb-ft in 2021 when the Ford engine “only” makes 1,050 lb-ft.
Chevrolet’s 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine comes in one variant, producing 470 hp and 975 pound-feet of torque.
As the product folks say, the main driver of Ram’s rumored strategy is the new ZF Powerline eight-speed automatic transmission. This transmission is slated to replace the current base 68RFE and Aisin-sourced AS69RC transmissions, both six-speeds.
The 2025 Ram HD was developed for Class 5-8 trucks with engines that max out at 1,000 lb-ft and a GVWR of up to 57,000 pounds; we’re told that its use in a heavy-duty pickup with a much lower vehicle weight GVWR would increase its torque limit.
Transmission technologies such as “smart powershift” reduce fuel usage by up to 10%, skip-shift shifting is claimed to improve acceleration by up to 30%, and it reportedly weighs less than the six-speed it replaces.
The diesel engine change means 2500 buyers won’t miss out on the potential of turbodiesel diesel, which is perhaps a common complaint to Ram HQ since Foturbodieselrpion can be fitted to any Super Duty.
The engine revision comes with a refresh for the 2025 Ram HD lineup that will make expected changes to the exterior and possibly install a 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 system in the cabin. The 6.4-liter Hemi V8 producing 410 hp and 429 lb-ft will remain the base engine.
- Drivetrain Four-Wheel Drive
- Engine Order Code ESB
- Engine Type and Required Fuel Regular Unleaded V-8
- Displacement (liters/cubic inches) 6.4 L/392
- Fuel System Sequential MPI
- Maximum Horsepower @ RPM 410 @ 5600
- Maximum Torque @ RPM 429 @ 4000

2025 Ram 2500 Rebel Crew Cab 4×4
Exciting things are happening again. This time, the information we obtained from HDRams mentions the recent minor but relevant updates. Heavy Duty will receive a new grille design, headlights, an updated front bumper, and a new set of taillights. The trucks recently got a new performance hood option for the 2025 model year.
The dashboard’s updated design is a cover-up, showing the new 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen that the 1500 model just got on its top-tier models. While we don’t see any new technology, like the presence of a head-up display (HUD) through the windshield, it makes us curious if Ram is giving the updated Heavy-Duty truck the new Atlantis electrical architecture that the half-ton model receives. If not, this could stop some of the latest technology on the current 2500/3500 trucks.
However, while the design changes may not be a complete overhaul, our sources say that the most significant changes have happened for some time. According to some sources, the new Heavy-Duty diesel truck will utilize a new standard 8-speed PowerLine® transmission sourced from ZF. This will be a significant update for diesel vehicle owners, allowing the trucks to achieve better fuel economy, smooth gear shifts, and improved towing capabilities.
The ZF PowerLine transmission is already being used in several medium-duty commercial truck applications and should make 2500/3500 customers who were afraid of Chrysler’s 68RFE very happy.
For those who don’t opt for diesel power, the 2025 Ram Heavy Duty truck will continue to offer HEMI® power under the hood. The 6.4-litre HEMI® (BGE or Big Gas Engine) V8 engine returns with a slight update to meet ever-increasing emissions requirements. We’re told the engine will continue to be mated to an 8-speed 8HP75-LCV automatic transmission sourced from ZF.
2025 RAM 3500
Of course, the Ram 3500 is ready for almost any type of towing or hauling, with a high-output Cummins six-cyturbodieselodiesel available. The RAM 3500 produces 420 horsepower and 1,075 lbturbodieselue, which are its most essential attributes. With the right equipment, it can qualify for a maximum towing capacity of 37,090 pounds.
With user-friendly features for everyday work and outstanding heavy-duty capabilities for work and play, the Ram 3500 is a pickup truck designed for hard workers.
- Equipped with a 6.7L High Output Cummins® Turbo Diesel I6 engine, the Ram 3500 has a maximum diesel towing capacity of up to 37,090 pounds, which allows you to tow campers, trailers, and other vehicles.
- With comfortable seating, plenty of cargo space, and premium features, the Ram 3500 is designed to turn heads while getting the job done.
- Many of the standards available for everyday driving are available for the Ram 3500, which enhances the driving experience and boosts your confidence.
One Ram pickup truck family member is the Ram 3500, which has a comfortable cabin and reasonably good driving speed on paved roads. It has many up-to-date technology features, including a new digital instrument panel and a vertically oriented 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Heavyweight competitors have closed the gap since the big RAM was released, but the 2025 RAM 3500 Rumors is still the best truck in terms of torque. In addition to offering available and viable technology, the Ford F-350 and F-450 Super Duty give the Ram 3500 an edge in towing and hauling.
In addition, the Chevy Silverado 3500HD is always there. Which brand you trust or which offers the best price often determines your choice. By choosing Ram, we are confident that you will succeed.
If nothing else, 2025 RAM 2500 Changes: The Ram 3500 Limited, Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, and Longhorn are available in five primary trim levels. In addition, there are three cab models: crew cab, extra-large crew cab, and mega cab.
Each model has a standard (6 feet 4 inches) or long (8 feet) bed. However, there aren’t many ways you can combine each trim, cabin, or bed. Read on for details and features of the 3500 engine.

2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon
Ram revived the 1940s-era Power Wagon name for a tougher version of the Ram 2500 in 2005. It continues through 2025 with a starting price of $70,465, including a $1,995 delivery charge.
The Power Wagon coming to dealerships soon will bear the 2024 model year designation, not 2025, as Ram has yet to update its heavy-duty truck to match the recently received 1500.
The Power Wagon has more than two inches of lift, Bilstein shocks, and modified control arms and springs to make it roadworthy. Removable stabilizer bars – Ram calls them class-exclusive heavy-duty trucks – allow the front axle to move independently of the frame when needed.
“Other upgrades include a locking differential and a 12,000 lb WARN Zeon-12 winch with synthetic rope, which gives this giant pickup truck a significant advantage over all production pickup trucks,” Ram said.
Although Ram has switched to inline 6-cylinder engines for many applications, the Power Wagon retains the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a Borg Warner BW 44-47 transfer case with part-time manual drive.
Rebel
The Ram Rebel 2025 starts at $66,190, including shipping.
The Rebel also gets an additional inch of ride height. However, it adds Bilstein front and rear shocks and a softer rear stabilizer bar for better off-road capability.
Inside is a 14.5-inch center touchscreen and a 10.25-inch passenger screen that is not visible from the driver’s seat.
New for 2025, the Rebel X package marks the Rebel’s tenth anniversary. It adds Rough Road Cruise Control, which “allows the driver to set cruising speed on rough dirt roads.” The car also features premium leather bucket seats with the Rebel X logo, red accent stitching, a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and an electric trunk door.
Rebel Heavy Duty
Ram will also offer a heavy-duty Rebel version for 2025, starting at $70,990, including shipping.
The vehicle uses the Power Wagon’s V8 engine as standard equipment, and the WARN winch is optional. However, it also has a 6.7-liter Cummins Standard-Output 6-cyturbodieselodiesel engine that produces 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of toturbodieselebel uses “a unique off-road suspension, a limited-slip differential at the rear and an electronic locker at the rear, 20-inch wheels (18-inch wheels optional), 33-inch off-road tires, and skid plates that protect the fuel tank and transfer case,” Ram said.
All Ram HD models use a five-link coil suspension design, but Rebel HD buyers can choose a rear air suspension.
The Rebel HD uses the Power Wagon body but adds a sports hood. Buyers can choose from three seating options: cloth bench or bucket seats, Bristol leather bench or bucket seats, and full Natura Plus leather bucket seats.

Warlock
Ram’s most affordable dedicated off-road truck starts at $56,255 (including a mandatory $1,995 destination charge).
“It pays homage to the original Warlock pickup truck of the 1970s,” says Ram, with Warlock details on the hood and tailgate, black exterior emblems, black tow hooks, and dual exhaust with matching black tips. Recently, Ram also had a Warlock version of the 1500 Classic, a previous-generation – and lower-cost – 1500 truck sold alongside the latest generation.
The latest Warlock stands an inch taller than the standard Ram 1500 model and is protected with skid plates. However, it remains affordable with an old-style interior, including cloth seats, a 7-inch driver’s instrument display, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen.
Under the hood is a Hurricane Standard Output 3.0-liter 6-cylinder inline engine with 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque.
2025 RAM 2500 Hybrid
So far as this article is concerned, we only know that the Ram 1500 Ramcharger 2025 is equipped with a series hybrid powertrain that will provide a targeted range of up to 690 miles. The Ram 1500 Ramcharger 2025 has a 92 kWh battery pack paired with a 130 kW onboard generator, which delivers power to the 250 kW front and 238 kW rear electric drive modules (EDMs).
According to information obtained from Greencarcongress, Two-way vehicle-to-vehicle, and vehicle-to-home charging gives the Ram 1500 Ramcharger the flexibility to charge other Stellantis battery-powered vehicles or provide power back to the grid. The body’s power panel can provide up to 7.2 kW of power.
Even the Stellantis authorities, in this case, Tim Kuniskis, CEO, also revealed, “With unlimited electric range, the Ram 1500 Ramcharger is the pinnacle of the light-duty pickup truck segment and the best electric truck. The new Ramcharger is a powerful light-duty truck-663 horsepower, 615 lb.-ft. Of torque, 0-60 mph in 4 seconds, 14,000 lbs. of towing power, and requires no common chargers.
Targeted performance figures include a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds, 663 horsepower, and over 615 lb.-ft. Of torque, a best-in-class towing capacity of 14,000 pounds with a class 5 hookup and a best-in-class maximum payload capacity of 2,625 pounds.
We thought it would be interesting to see the 2025 RAM 2500 get the same opportunity as the 2025 RAM 2500 Hybrid, which uses EDM to combine a motor, gearbox, and inverter with all-wheel drive capability.
The 2025 Ramcharger 1500 features one EDM on the front axle with an automatic breaker at the wheel end. This allows the front wheels to rotate freely under certain conditions, thus maximizing efficiency. The second EDM is positioned on the rear axle, and an electronic locking rear differential is available.
Power flows sequentially from the 3.6-liter V-6 engine to the attached 130 kW generator. The engine produces mechanical energy, which the generator converts into electrical power. Electrical power can be used to charge the battery when it is depleted or if the driver wants to conserve it.
Electrical power can also be used on the high-voltage bus, where the EDM can use the generator’s and the battery’s electrical power to provide maximum power to the wheels. There is no direct mechanical path from the engine to the wheels.
2025 RAM 2500 Big Horn
The 2025 RAM 2500 Big Horn model shows increased changes from the previous year. Spy photos show significant changes to the Ram 2500 Big Horn Regular Cab Long Box 4×4.
While the truck’s cab and box design remain unchanged, the front fascia will receive a facelift inspired by the updated 2025 Ram 1500. Notably, the RAM emblem on the grille will be higher than the current model.
The new reflective-style LED headlights appear as quad lights in the photos and will likely be altered by camouflage tape. However, the shape of the headlights is expected to resemble the current design, with the turn signals positioned below the far and near lights.
At the rear, although the taillights are designed to match the fourth-generation box, they will incorporate styling elements from the updated Ram 1500.
The changes on the inside are subtle but important. Engineers are working on integrating the updated Uconnect 5 system software, which is indicated by a touchscreen mounted on a temporary plate a few inches from the dashboard.
The overall layout, including the steering wheel and dashboard, appears to be a holdover from the current model, especially on lower trim levels like the Ram 1500.
We expect the Regular Cab model to remain exclusive to the Tradesman and Big Horn trims in 2025. Production of the 2025 Ram Heavy Duty truck will begin in the fourth quarter of 2024 at the Stellantis Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant in Mexico.
2025 RAM 2500 MPG
The economy of the new 2025 RAM 2500 model will certainly depend on driving conditions and style. We predict that the figures that will show up on the test will be between 15 and 20 mpg, which is pretty good for a truck of this size and capability.
2025 RAM 2500 Colors
