2025 RAM 1500: The year 2025 is fast approaching, and with it comes a brand new iteration of the iconic RAM 1500. This new model promises to be the most advanced and capable truck yet, with a host of innovative features that will make it the perfect choice for drivers who demand the best.
First and foremost, the 2025 RAM 1500 is set to feature a completely redesigned exterior that is both sleek and aggressive. The truck will sit lower to the ground, with a wider stance and more muscular lines that give it a bold and imposing look. The front grille will be larger and more prominent, with LED headlights that provide excellent visibility in any condition.
Under the hood, the 2025 RAM 1500 will be powered by a range of advanced engines that offer unparalleled performance and efficiency. The base model will feature a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, while a more powerful 5.7-liter V8 engine will be available as an option. Both engines will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that delivers smooth and precise shifting.
One of the most exciting features of the 2025 RAM 1500 is the advanced suspension system that has been developed for the truck. This system uses active dampening technology to adjust the suspension in real time, providing a smooth and comfortable ride on any terrain. Additionally, the truck will feature air suspension as standard, which allows drivers to adjust the ride height to suit their needs.
2025 RAM 1500 Review
RAM is the latest U.S. car manufacturer to introduce an electric pickup truck, which they call the Ram 1500 REV. This all-electric, full-sized pickup is set to bring new technology and design concepts along with its revolutionary electric powertrain. At CES 2023, a prototype version of the Ram 1500 REV was unveiled (shown in the video above), and it is expected to enter production by late 2024. Key competitors include the Ford F-150 Lightning, Chevrolet Silverado EV, and Rivian R1T.
Manufacturers of electric trucks are continuously surpassing their achievements. Rivian impressed with its R1T Gear Tunnel, followed by Ford Lightning’s showcase of its spacious frunk. Chevrolet then reintroduced the midgate in the Silverado EV. However, Ram’s electric truck concept took it a step further by incorporating all of these features and more.
Ram’s truck design took a significant leap forward with the unveiling of the 1500 Revolution concept. It boasted sleek, hourglass-shaped contours and a front end adorned with LEDs, free of a grille. At the rear, the split-opening tailgate, pass-through midgate, and frunk provided extensive versatility.
The 1500 Revolution concept also showcased futuristic elements such as 3D-printed side-view mirrors and a function where the truck could trail behind you as you walked ahead. Another impressive feature was the two- or three-row seating configuration that could be reconfigured to suit different needs.
During the Super Bowl prime time, Ram unveiled the production-ready 1500 REV, which differed significantly from the concept. The REV’s appearance was similar to that of a standard Ram 1500, with a futuristic front end being the only notable difference. Several advanced features and futuristic details were eliminated, causing the 1500 REV to resemble a standard truck that happens to be electric, rather than a revolutionary one.
While the 1500 REV’s electric capabilities and performance may surpass those of other electric trucks currently available, the features seen so far suggest that it may be more of a competitor than a trailblazer. Further information on the 1500 REV’s capabilities will become available as Ram prepares for its production in late 2024.
- Snazzy front-end illumination
- Promises impressive payload, towing, and battery stats
- Big frunk
2025 RAM 1500 Specs
Ram did not disclose details regarding the 1500 REV’s range or battery capacity, leaving those details unknown. However, the automaker did announce that the truck will be equipped with a dual-motor powertrain that allows for electric all-wheel drive.
Additionally, the 1500 REV will utilize an 800-volt electrical architecture that may result in fast charging times. Whether the robotic charging system, which was inspired by Tesla and was demonstrated with the concept truck, will become a reality remains to be seen.
The Ram 1500 REV is expected to have a maximum range of over 300 miles, surpassing the range offered by the $55,974 F-150 Lightning, which provides 240 miles of range. However, the F-150 Lightning does offer a version with 320 miles of range, which starts at around $64,000. Chevrolet plans to release a version of the Silverado EV with approximately 400 miles of range.

The F-150 Lightning can recharge up to 208 miles of range in just 40 minutes using a 150kW+ DC public fast charger and can achieve a full charge overnight when plugged into a 240V outlet at home. Given the 1500 REV’s 800-volt electrical architecture, it may offer even faster charging capabilities.
It has been confirmed that the Ram 1500 REV will have the capability to provide power to a home or charge another electric vehicle.
The current Ram 1500 can tow up to 12,750 pounds and carry a maximum payload of 2,300 pounds. Meanwhile, the Ford F-150 Lightning has a towing capacity of up to 10,000 pounds and a payload capacity of over 2,000 pounds. It is anticipated that the Ram 1500 REV will have similar capabilities in terms of towing and payload capacity.
Driving
It is anticipated that the Ram 1500 REV will be the most enjoyable vehicle to drive in Ram’s truck lineup. The expectation is based on the same reasons that make the F-150 Lightning more enjoyable to drive than other F-150 models.
These reasons include a smoother, more powerful, and more responsive power delivery. The driving experience is comparable to a luxury or performance car, even though it is a full-size truck. Fans of Ram trucks are likely to be thrilled by this prospect.
The 1500 Revolution concept features advanced semi-autonomous driving abilities at Level 3+. To illustrate this feature, the steering wheel folds down and away from the driver when the autonomous driving systems are engaged, allowing the driver more room while the truck operates autonomously.
However, in the production version of the 1500 REV, there seems to be no visible folding steering wheel, and the interior looks more typical.
2025 RAM 1500 Interior
Inside the cabin, the 2025 RAM 1500 will be packed with advanced technology and premium features that make it one of the most comfortable and convenient trucks on the market. The dashboard will feature a large touchscreen display that provides access to a range of infotainment and navigation features, while a premium sound system will provide excellent audio quality.
The seats in the 2025 RAM 1500 will be designed with comfort in mind, with a range of adjustable settings that allow drivers and passengers to find the perfect position. Additionally, the truck will feature a range of safety features that provide peace of mind on the road, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and lane departure warning.
The only image available to gain insights about the interior of the Ram 1500 REV shows a few features that are familiar such as a dial shifter, a vertical touchscreen, and what seems like a leather-stitched surface. Additionally, there appears to be a passenger touchscreen, but not much else can be determined.
Nonetheless, based on the image, it seems like the interior is an updated version of the current Ram truck interiors, which are widely considered one of the most luxurious in the truck market.
Ram may have developed a three-row crew cab truck, which has never been seen before. In the 1500 Revolution concept, the cabin initially appears to have two rows of seats when you open the coach doors.
The seats are mounted on rails and can slide several feet forward or backward. When moved forward, two small jump seats built onto the midgate become visible. These seats have deployable bottoms that allow them to carry extra passengers in an emergency and can be hidden away when more main-seat space is required.
The production version of the 1500 REV is not expected to have coach doors for its crew cab, which suggests that it will have a conventional two-row seating setup.
The Ram 1500 Revolution concept has multiple screens incorporated throughout its interior. A centerpiece is a 28-inch unit, which can be tilted for different viewing angles or removed entirely to function as rear-seat entertainment or support other truck functions. The truck also features a large head-up display, a touchscreen on the headliner, and a digital rearview mirror.
The side mirrors are partly digital, with camera-based mirrors at the base of each A-pillar. Projectors are integrated into the body, allowing for various exterior visual communications and the ability to project videos on any surface the truck can drive up to. An augmented reality mobile app can also scan objects and guide how to fit them properly into the truck.
The interior of the production 1500 REV is not as advanced as the concept’s, but it still features a significant amount of digital space. It includes a 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen that seems to be the same as the one available in the Ram 1500, accompanied by a digital gauge cluster and touchscreen located in front of the front passenger.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The Ram 1500 REV is expected to have a similarly sized vertical touchscreen as the gasoline Ram, based on what was shown on the concept model. The concept model also featured a 360-degree camera with digital side-view mirrors, a head-up display, and voice assistance from both Android’s Alexa and Apple’s Siri.
The infotainment system also included a Smart Home Control function that allows passengers to control home devices such as lights, cameras, thermostats, and audio systems from the front seat.

Standard features on the gasoline Ram such as wireless phone charging and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also expected to be included in the electric version.
2025 RAM 1500 Exterior
If you were in charge of designing your first electric truck, would you opt for a design that looks like your current trucks, as Ford did with the F-150 Lightning, or would you go for a more distinctive look like the Chevy Silverado EV?
Both are valid options, but Ram has chosen to stick with a familiar design for the 1500 REV, which we believe is a good choice. The truck also features a spacious frunk in addition to RamBox storage on the sides of the bed.
18 Feet Long!
The 1500 Revolution concept could accommodate objects as long as 18 feet, which is quite impressive. Along with the bed, it also had a frunk, which is a common feature in other EVs as it provides additional storage space where a traditional engine would have been.
Similar to the Chevrolet Silverado EV, the concept also had a midgate, which is a movable divider between the cab and the bed. The midgate had folding panels built into it and the front firewall, which when lowered, created a seamless 18-foot-long pass-through extending from the frunk to the tailgate with barn doors.
With no engine in the way, transporting long items like wood planks would be effortless.
The 1500 REV that will be produced still has a bed and a large frunk, but it seems there is no way to connect the two spaces through the cabin as shown in the concept. Therefore, the possibility of having that 18-foot-long pass-through from frunk to tailgate might just remain a concept.
RAM 1500 EV Motor, Power, and Performance
Ram has not yet provided complete details on the powertrain options and total horsepower output of the 1500 REV, but they have disclosed that the truck will have all-wheel drive with motors placed at the front and rear. The company has also mentioned that the new chassis of the truck can accommodate larger-capacity batteries, indicating that the lineup may include models with varying levels of power and range.
To beat the Ford F-150 Lightning’s maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds, it is speculated that the Ram 1500 REV would need to surpass the F-series’ maximum 580 horsepower, at least in dual-motor form. The truck is expected to have four-wheel steering for better maneuverability in tight spaces and will feature an adjustable air suspension that can increase ground clearance for off-road driving or lower the truck to improve highway efficiency and ease of loading.
Ram hasn’t provided specific information on the battery size or charging time for the Ram REV 1500, but they did reveal that the truck’s driving range could reach up to 500 miles, which is 200 miles more than the estimated range of the longest-range F-150 Lightning. The company also stated that the concept version of the electric truck is capable of adding up to 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes with 800-volt DC fast charging at up to 350 kW.
2025 RAM 1500 Price
The starting price for the Ram 1500 REV is projected to be around $58,000, which is similar to the electric Ford F-150 Lightning which starts at $55,974. A fully loaded Ram 1500 REV is also expected to exceed $100,000, similar to the top-end version of the F-150 Lightning.
2025 RAM 1500 Release Date
The Ram Pickup 1500 REV will be released for sale in late 2024 and can be reserved now. The truck was revealed in February, through a Super Bowl commercial, a month after the unveiling of a more radical electric truck concept by Ram.
