2022 RAM 1500: All-New RAM 1500 Review, Specs, Price and Release Date

Posted on

2022 RAM 1500 the fifth-generation 1500 Ram reached the showroom in 2019, and besides the revised diesel engine and several new packages, it remained unchanged. With its appearance still fresh, we hope that the 2022 RAM 1500 will arrive as a carryover model.

Stretching back to the days of Dodge Ram, the Ram 1500 was never one for major changes, and the redesign of 2019 followed this path with light style updates that included massaged lights, a new grille, revised bumpers, and a few other bits.

Where the new generation 1500 Ram made a mark is in weight loss because it dropped almost 225 pounds by switching to high-strength steel and other materials.  We hope this display and weight savings remain the same in Ram 2022 1500.

When the Ram 1500 was redesigned for 2019, it redefined the luxury and technology that consumers could expect from a full-size pickup truck. What’s more, it offers a front-class ride in its class and a series of powerful and efficient engine options, and competitive towing and payload ratings across all levels.

We were so impressed with the new 2022 Dodge RAM that we named it our Top Value truck.

By 2022, Ram engineers have decided to add more capabilities to the mix by bringing the popular Rebel TRX concept from 2016 to life.

2022 RAM 1500 Review: What’s New For 2022 RAM 1500

Aimed right at Ford’s conqueror Raptor in the desert, the Rebel TRX will use 707 horsepower Dodge supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engines for motivation. The heavy-duty off-road suspension will be part of the package, but official details have not yet been released.

2022 RAM 1500 Refresh

At this year’s NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, Stellantis leaked some new product information about the 2022 Ram 1500 refresh. Yes, the Ram truck is currently in the middle of its production cycle and will be tuned for 2022. It’s not a completely new model, it’s more like a nip and tuck.

A style refresh is expected for the 2022 model, but Stellantis has been tight-lipped about what exactly will change. This may be as simple as changing the grille or it could involve the entire front clip. This, for now, will remain a subject of wait and see.

The new 360 View Ram Trailer camera system will deviate from that used in pickups like the Ford F-150. According to the TFLTruck camera will be added to what is being pulled. The driver can place up to four additional cameras around and on the subject of interest.

The Trailer View kit comes with a camera, camera mount, cable mount, extension cable, and control module. The system works up to 53 feet from the truck cab. This system will also be available for use on Ram HD trucks as well. Also new is the air filtration system. Driven by the pandemic, the new system uses the N95 biofilter. This is a huge improvement over the previous filtration system.

Also, while we expected the classic Ram to be made this year, it looks like it will be in production at least through 2022. As you know it was an earlier version of the Ram 1500, used as a filler as the Ram doesn’t have a midsize truck. Since the previous Ram 150 had amortized costs years ago, Stellantis was able to sell this full-size truck at a moderate price.

While Ram has also been tight-lipped about powertrain revisions, we don’t expect much change for 2022. Certain press conferences have indicated that an “electric” Ram pickup is coming perhaps for 2023. But all comments are careful not to say “electric.”

From these differences, we can assume that some sort of hybrid is the most likely next step for Ram. Where and when the all-electric Ram pickup comes into play is anyone’s guess. But the 2030 deadline that some states aim to halt sales of new ICE vehicles is looming.

Ram may be waiting to develop an entirely new platform to accommodate the battery. It could happen in 2026 or sooner if Ram puts it together. But for now, the inevitable picture of switching to an electric pickup truck on the Ram is still very hazy.

2022 RAM 1500 Rumors

Expect more extras that are focused on off-road. With the Ram 1500 sporting the Classic nameplate for 2022, it’s only fitting that this hugely popular model gets a whole new set of additions and options for the coming year.

In what appears to be the first and not the last, optional pack for the Ram 1500 Classic, the fine Warlock trim can be further enhanced in appearance and performance with the Warlock All-Terrain Pack.

As reported by Mopar Insiders, this new package cannot yet be confirmed by Ram, but the details are quite promising.

Initially, the Warlock trim was to pay homage to the Ram truck of the same name in the 1970s. Instead of gold wheels, wooden bed rails, and pinstriping, we’re getting a truck that looks a little creepy, blackened, and slightly lifted in 2019.

In 2019 there are some Rebel-esque looks, but of course, it lacks the other stuff to make it up. as a viewer when leaving the sidewalk. That’s where the Warlock All-Terrain Pack will come in.

With the ASJ order code, the new package will add Yokohama all-terrain tires, full-size spare wheels, 17-inch aluminum wheels in matte black, and an all-weather floor. mat. There aren’t any images available yet, but we’ll be watching.

These are all additions to items such as a black grille with RAM letters, powder-coated front and rear bumpers, black wheel flares, LED fog lamps, projector headlamps with dark bezels, LED taillights, black badges, hood stickers, and the optional Sport.

More importantly, you save on trips to the tire shop with those new Yokohamas, doing the full (hopefully) 1-inch factory lift and heavy-duty rear shocks.

Ram hasn’t fully outlined the changes it will make to the 1500 Classic for 2022, but we hope this Warlock All-Terrain Pack is as popular as the existing Warlock options, along with the rest of the RAM pickup truck lineup.

However, since someone saw the 2022 Ram 1500 in the wild, we guessed it might be smarter. The truck was spotted around Detroit with multiple cameras to test new technology features.

For example, there’s a high-definition visible camera on the back, a new 360 surround-view camera, and a camera in the rearview mirror.

It’s safe to expect some new camera angles to help back up, hitch a ride into a trailer, and see exactly where your tires will land when off-roading. There should be a camera angle that also shows the tailgate.

Rumors also suggest that the Ram 1500 2022 will have a new reversing and steering system. The trailering system will eliminate the current toggle switch and will be located to the right of the system with four additional switches.

This trailering system will help novice porters get the job done by turning the knobs in the direction they want. Then the system will help the driver reach that destination.

2022 RAM 1500 Changes

The upcoming Ram 1500 will continue to offer a modern and fresh design. The front fascia has the same narrow grille that is flanked by slimmer headlights. As you may know, the iconic crosshair grille is no longer available. The Ram will reportedly offer halogen, LED, and adaptive LED headlamps.

2022 RAM 1500 Refresh

Since its launch in 2018, the Ram 1500 has been a tremendous success. It received rave reviews and has rivaled the Chevy Silverado for sales.

Given its novelty, a full refresh for Ram 1500 is still a long way off; that says although the truck could get some interesting technical changes for the 2021 model year.

Mopar Insiders has several photos of the Ram 1500 spy – including the Rebel TRX fighting the Raptor – with the new camera positioned in the side mirrors and the third LED brake light.

Those cameras should give the Ram 1500 the ability to offer a towed camera, with a 360-degree all-around camera as well as a down-looking camera at the cargo bed. That ability had previously been reserved for Ram’s heavy-duty lineup.

In May, TFL Truck spotted a trailer steering knob that can steer the truck automatically to back up the trailer to the parking lot, in a similar way to Ford’s Pro Trailer Backup Assist.

The Ram 1500 is a popular choice for towing, with a Hemi 5.7 liter capacity to pull up to 12,750 lbs – easily accommodating, say, an Airstream Caravel – so such a tool would be of great help.

Another thing to watch out for in the tech field is the new UConnect5 FCA infotainment system, which supports Apple wireless Carplay and Android Auto.

No announcements have yet been made about whether the Ram 1500 will get it for 2022, but that will set the standard this year on the new Chrysler Pacifica.

2022 RAM 1500 Rumor Prototype

Based on the details obtained from the prototype 2022 spy photo 1500 Laramie Sport Quad Cab 4 × 4, Mopar Insiders believes that the 2022 Ram 1500 will adopt some serious pickup comfort features, two of which have been found in homes in heavy-duty Ram pickups for many years -year.

The first is the mirror puller with the camera as part of a 360-degree pickup camera system. Surround-View Cameras can be owned as part of the Advanced Safety Group in 1500 now, but they are not yet available with tow trailer mirrors.

On Ram’s heavy-duty, Surround-View Cameras come as part of the Towing Technology Group. Maybe Ram will overcome negligence with next year’s pickup 1500. The same mirror has been seen on the prototype 2022 Dodge RAM 1500 Rebel TRX too.

The second handler of the heavy-duty range is a spot-view camera mounted on an LED brake light at the rear of the cabin – Ram calls it a High-Height Stop Mount Lamp with a Cargo View Camera.

Some Ram owners make mods to their trucks, such as installing Tazer DT plug-ins to access more vehicle settings, have found a line of cameras that have been installed as part of the harness. Next year could be when Ram decides to activate it.

The final feature is the trailer steering knob that functions similarly to the Pro Trailer Backup Assist that can be selected on the Ford F-150.

The knob has been seen in a leaky interior shot of the Rebel TRX, so it is assumed to spread to all 1500 trims. When backing up with the trailer, the driver turns the steering wheel in the opposite direction to the trailer you want to go.

To make work easier for the occasional hauler, in a truck with a trailer steering feature, the driver turns the knob in the direction he wants the trailer to go, and the software takes care of turning the truck to make the request happen.

Because the fifth-generation Ram 1500 only arrived for the 2019 model, we do not expect substantive changes for 2022.

Another big addition is Uconnect 5, which debuted at Pacifica 2022 but can slide into the RAM 1500 2022 family side before the new model year.

2022 RAM 1500 Exterior

Let’s start with the exterior, RAM 1500 2022 has given us some ideas about the direction they will go when they show us the concept of the 2016 Ram Rebel TRX and we can say that many original ideas have been carried to the production truck.

Wider front fenders with vents next to the headlights and front door give a more aggressive attitude when looking from the front of the truck.

According to our sources, the new TRX will use a new variant of Rebel grille which will incorporate the headlights of the Limited Black model.

Due to the truck’s wider position, the yellow light is required by federal law. Instead of placing the lights inside a grid-like the biggest competition of the TRX, the F-150 Raptor, RAM 1500 2022 designer inserted the center of the three lights into the top of a new large ram-water scoop on the hood.

The new hood will make the HELLCAT HEMI V8 6.2 liter supercharged breathe better, while the hood extractor will be positioned closer to the windshield.

The badging hood will be placed similar to the current Dodge RAM 2022 1500 performance hood, but we were told that badging will be set in a font that is identical to the Rebel TRX concept and will read “6.2L Supercharged”.

Just like the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, there will be no Hellcat badge present on this pickup, except for the top of the supercharger.

The bedside side also lights up, with black vents next to the tail lights inserted into the flare – looking similar to the TRX Concept.

The tip of the double faint exhaust comes out of the rear bumper, the same as an ordinary Rebel pick up, however, its diameter is larger as we have seen in recent spy photos.

Also located next to the rear exhaust, there are two large towing hooks to help pull the Raptors out of the deep sand. We don’t know whether the new Multifunctional Tailgate Dodge RAM 2022 will be available on TRX, but we doubt it.

We’ve also talked about the new all-LED third brake lights, which will most likely be standard on all 2022 RAM Rebel 1500 models with LED lighting.

2022 RAM 1500 Interior

Inside, the redesigned Ram 1500 makes more style marks with a revised dashboard that offers wrinkles and additional shapes that add a little extra pizza to the once bland cabin.

It also gets a new four-post steering wheel, larger touch screen options, a stronger infotainment system, 4G Wi-Fi, a reworked HVAC interface, and other nips and tucks. We hope that the 2022 Ram 1500 will enter a showroom with the same interior design.

In the cabin, is where we will see the biggest change. For the first time, 2022 Ram Rebel will get aluminum paddle shifters on the back of the wheel.

Now, while some people might think this will be similar to that found in other Hellcat-powered vehicles, think again.

The paddle shifters are similar to those found in the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio and are extended in length.

Another big addition is that the dial shifter has been discarded (yes, there is no rotary shifter).

Instead, TRX will get a center-mounted shifter console that is similar in design to that found in the concept, this means TRX will not have a center console that can be shifted like the usual Ram 1500.

Everything else looks like that in a standard Rebel Black with a little Alcantara and black leather accents on the seat.

The Uconnect 12-inch touch screen was there, this time loaded with a Performance Page similar to what was found on other Hellcat vehicles, however, some special TRX Rebel pages for off-road vehicles will also be available.

2022 RAM 1500 Engine

The Ram 1500 currently has several engine options, starting with the 3.6 liters V6 with a lightweight eTorque hybrid system that launches the 2022 RAM Rebel off the line with electric power.

The 3.6 liter V6 produces 305 horsepower and 269 pounds of torque. Next up is the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 available with or without the eTorque system.

This V8 produces 395 hp torque and 410 lb-ft of torque. At the top of the powertrain, the heap is the 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel which produces 260 hp, 480 lb-ft of torque, and up to 32 miles per gallon of the highway.

The three engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear or four-wheel drive.

The Ram 1500 performed exceptionally in IIHS testing because it received a “Good” rating in all crash tests while the optional automatic emergency braking system received a “Superior” rating.

There is one weakness in Ram right now, and that is on the headlights. The extended cabin model only has traditional halogen lights, which receive a “Marginal” rating.

Crew cabin models, however, have optional LED lights that receive the rare “Good” rating from IIHS.

This adds up to cabin crew models that get the IIHS Top Safety Pick + status – rarely between pickups – but an extended cab is not a Top Safety Pick because of the main lights.

2022 RAM 1500 Engine Options

Three Powertrain Options The 3.6 liter, 305 horsepower Ram engine will now return to standard. The 5.7 liter Hemi engine is optional, with the V8 producing 395 horsepower.

Ram also continues to offer the EcoDiesel engine with 260 horsepower and a crane capacity of 12,560 pounds.

The hybrid variant combines a 3.6-liter V6 engine with the e-Torque Ram system. The mild-hybrid engine increases fuel economy and delivers 305 horsepower.

A 2WD arrangement is offered as standard, while 4WD is optional. An eight-speed automatic transmission is also available.

Today’s pickup rams are also equipped with rearview cameras, trailer-sway controls, and power-adjustable side mirrors. The heated front seats, larger screen, and leather upholstery are optional.

Ford continued its nearly 45-year journey as the country’s top-selling pickup truck in 2020. The F-Series combined had sales of 787,422, down 12.2 percent from 2019.

The Chevrolet Silverado is second in truck sales with 594,094. This is an increase of 3.2 percent from the previous year.

Ram 1500 took third place with sales of 563,676, down 11 percent from 2019.

2022 RAM 1500 Limited Engine Options

The 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 will also continue to be a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel, which is good for around 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Lastly, there’s the recently added 6.2-liter Hemi V8, which delivers around 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.

2022 Ram 1500 comes in 5 engine options available. With such a large selection of machines, you are sure to find one that meets your needs. We’ll share the performance capabilities for each machine type below.

PENTASTAR ® V6 3.6L ENGINE WITH ETHORIES

  • The entry-level engine in 2022 of the Ram 1500 is the 3.6L Pentastar V6 with eTorque *. This engine uses state-of-the-art wide-range variable valve timing (VVT) for power and efficiency. This 3.6L engine delivers up to 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. This engine makes it possible to pull up to 7,730 pounds when properly equipped.
  • * eTorque is a feature exclusive to FCA vehicles and is a lightweight hybrid system that works on batteries to activate a start / stop function, generate short torque duration, and regenerate brake energy. The result is better fuel economy and more payload/crane capacity.

5.7L HEMI ® V8 ENGINE

  • Next up is the iconic and powerful 5.7L Hemi V8. This 5.7L V8 also uses VVT and Multi-Displacement System (MDS) with Fuel Saving Technology. The Hemi puts out an impressive 395 horsepower, 410 lb-ft of torque, and can pull up to 11,610 pounds when properly equipped.

5.7L HEMI ® V8 ENGINE WITH ETHORIES

  • The third engine available is the 5.7L Hemi V8 with eTorque – the light hybrid system mentioned above. This engine puts out the same 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque as the non-eTorque engine. However, the torque option adds to the towing capabilities that come in at 12,750 pounds when properly equipped.

3.0L ECO DIESEL V6 ENGINE

  • 2022 Ram 1500 also comes in a diesel option. The 3.0L Ecodiesel V6 engine offers several significant advantages over the petrol-powered engine. While the engine puts out less than maximum horsepower (at 260), the diesel option gets the best-in-class diesel torque of 480 lb-ft. This makes it possible to pull up to 12,560 pounds when properly equipped.

SUPERCHARGED 6.2L HEMI ® V8 ENGINE

  • New in the Ram 1500 truck lineup is the most powerful factory-installed engine ever on a half-ton truck. The legendary 6.2L Supercharged Hemi V8 engine enters the Ram lineup for the 2022 model year. It produces a maximum horsepower of 702 and 650 lb-ft of torque. While the crane capacity will be determined once the vehicle goes out of production, the engine can charge 0-60 MPH in just 4.5 seconds!

2022 Ram 1500 Engine Options Based on Trim Level

  • While most of the available engines are offered at multiple trim levels, you should know that some engines are not. Let’s take a look at which engines are offered at each trim level of the Ram 1500.

2022 RAM 1500 Gas Mileage

The Ram 1500 TRX is equipped with a supercharged 6.2L Hemi V-8, which has the lowest fuel economy rating of any truck in history with a combined rating of just 12 mpg. In the upscale, the Ram 1500 equipped with the EcoDiesel V-6 can do up to 32 mpg on the highway.

2022 Dodge RAM 1500 Safety

While we estimate safety features and crash test ratings will carry up to the 2022 Ram 1500, this pickup is likely to lose the Top Safety Pick status due to the renewal of qualifications.

The latest Top Safety Pick guidelines require at least an automatic emergency braking rating from vehicle to the superior pedestrian, and the 2022 RAM Truck system is only vehicle-to-vehicle.

Also, the appointment of Tops Safety Pick + now requires “Acceptable” – or “Good” headlights and the standard Ram 1500 headlamps are “Marginal” oriented halogen units.

2022 RAM 1500 Regular Cab

The 2022 Ram 1500 is not the best pickup truck as it has the “best in class” award but because it raises expectations for the entire race. Pickups have been judged on toughness rather than smoothness. No longer.

And this new Ram, with its luxurious class interior and comfortable ride quality, easily outperforms the most luxurious versions of the Chevy Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, and Ford F-150. Its innovative air suspension, built-in cargo bed, rear doors fold-apart, and a giant 12.0-inch touchscreen are all options its competitors don’t offer.

Along with an economical and torque-rich six-cylinder diesel engine, the Ram raises the standard V-6 and the optional Hemi V-8 with a hybrid system.

They contribute to the pickup’s contemporary vibe, which is also underpinned by extensive technology and a wide range of capabilities – making Ram an easy choice for our 10Best 2022 list.

The Ram 1500 can pull up to 12,750 pounds and carry a payload of up to 2,320 pounds. Its maximum crane capacity exceeds all but the Ford F-150, which currently exceeds 13,000 pounds.

Crew cabin ram – including the Rebel model – can’t pull as much as the Quad Cab model but it still exceeds 11,500 pounds.

With the V-6 and V-8 hybrid engines as well as a diesel option, the Ram 1500 lineup has variable fuel economy. The EPA estimates that the most efficient V-6 Ram will get up to 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, while the V-8 version is rated up to 17 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.

The government estimates diesel-powered Rams will reach 22 mpg city and 32 highways; The numbers are slightly lower with all-wheel drive.

The Rebel we tested obtained a road speed of 24 mpg on a real-world fuel-efficient route of 75 mph, which is part of our extensive testing regimen.

That’s 6 mpg better than the V-8 Rebel which only uses fuel and 4 mpg better than the nonhybrid V-8 Laramie we tested.

2022 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie and Rebel G/T

The 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie and Rebel get the latest G/T version with external updates and performance improvements. Both will go on sale in the third quarter of 2021.

The Laramie G/T will sell for a starting price of US$55,480 (about 807 million rupees), and the Rebel G/T for US$55,375 (about 805 million rupees) excluding taxes and other charges.

G/T models get engine compartment air intakes, a rear exhaust, paddle shifters, and a new infotainment system. For added style, the package includes a hood with extra ventilation and a G/T label on the rear fender.

Inside or out, the bucket seats have a cool G/T logo. There is also an all-weather floor mat and metal cover over the pedals.

The 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T are only available with a 5.7-liter V8 assisted by a lightweight eTorque engine that produces a maximum power of 395 hp (291 kW) and 410 lb-ft (556 Nm) of torque.

This package is only available on trucks with a passenger compartment specification. Ram truck sales are currently very strong. In the second quarter, the company shipped 164,232 pickups.

Last year, in the same period, Ram delivered 117,448 trucks. This means that Ram is now seeing a 39.8 percent increase. For the year, the brand delivered 313,068 trucks to its customers, while in 2020 Ram delivered 246,253 units, an increase of 27 percent.

Ram makes plenty of special editions and limited-option packages for their trucks. Dubbed the Ram Mopar Special Edition, he gets parts from the Stellantis aftermarket department.

The brand offers a variety of versions such as Built to Serve in special colors to honor the branches of the US Army. And recently, the company introduced the 10th Anniversary Edition Limited Edition Ram 1500 with a more luxurious interior.

This is a luxury-wrapped pickup truck, as well as a 10-year festive version of the Ram 1500. It appears with signature Ram luxury with its upholstered leather seats and door panels, genuine wood, and metal interior, and suede top lining.

The 10th Anniversary Edition adds metal pedals, a custom automatic transmission shifter, and a new Indigo/Sea Salt Gray interior combo color. That includes 19 stereo speakers, and of course, you get the 10th Anniversary badge on the center console.

On the outside, the majestic new Ram keeps its good looks by getting an exclusive new exterior color called Blue Shade.

2022 Dodge RAM 1500 Limited

Not only will the debut of the Hellcat Ram 1500 TRX-powered, which we reviewed separately, make the half-tonne Ram 2022 lineup more appealing, it also marks the introduction of some cool new options for less extreme models.

These include the newly available head-up display, fully digital rearview mirror, a feature that controls the truck’s steering while backing into the trailer, and an Off-Road page contained in the infotainment system that shows ride height, pitch-and-roll. monitoring, and case transfer modes.

Along with some enhanced trailer-specific features, the addition of pedestrian detection to the Advanced Security package, and the availability of an extended front collision warning, there is a special Longhorn Limited 10th Anniversary Edition.

It includes a large number of exclusive badges inside and out as well as a Mountain Brown interior with unique trim pieces.

2022 RAM 1500 Limited

If you are talking about the most luxurious full-size pickup on the market today, there is no doubt that the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited tops the list. The fifth-generation half-ton pickup from the RAM brand has driven the pickup truck evolution into new territory where it is cross-shopping with the best luxury sedans and SUVs out there.

While RAM continues to roll out fifth-generation half-tonne offerings around the world (such as the recent introduction of the 2022 Ram 1500 Rebel in Brazil), the luxury-oriented 2022 Ram 1500 Limited is still only available in select regions.

For those living in Australia, the fifth generation Ram 1500 is preparing to make its debut. According to Ram Trucks Australia, which is the only authorized importer and distributor of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) for Ram Trucks for the Australian and New Zealand markets, it is now letting the Australian public show its interest in the most luxurious RAM offerings.

According to the Ram Trucks Australia website, the importer plans to release the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited pickup to the Australian market in early 2021.

To date, the only half-ton offer available for the Australian market is the fourth generation Ram 1500 Classic. model manufactured in Saltillo, Mexico.

The trucks later arrived in Australia as left-hand drive (LHD) vehicles and were later reproduced into right-hand drive (RHD) models at a facility in Melbourne, Australia.

The fifth-generation 2022 Ram 1500 Limited features amenities such as a stylish exterior featuring corrugated mesh grille, a full LED Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS), a power running board, and a choice of chrome or blackened highlights, the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited delivers a stylish appearance.

Brave on and off the road. Inside, the fifth-generation Ram 1500 Limited features real wood accents, leather bucket seats, and a large 12-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen infotainment system with navigation.

The 2022 Ram 1500 Limited can also be equipped with the impressive 900-watt Harman Kardon® Premium Audio System with 19 speakers for audiophiles or for those who like to overcome off-road obstacles the optional Active-Level ™ Four Corner Air Suspension provides added ground clearance, load leveling.

Automatic, easier to exit into the cab, and helps lower truck speeds for better aerodynamics for improved fuel economy.

As the Ram Truck brand continues to grow in the Australian market, there is no doubt that the fifth-generation Ram 1500 Limited will help make full-size pickups more attractive to customers who may not have considered looking for an everyday pickup. Vehicle.

2022 Dodge RAM 1500 BackCountry Edition

The cheapest 2022 Dodge RAM 1500 Rebel off-road truck you can buy will set you back at just over $47,000. Why is this important? Because if you want a new Ram 1500 with some 4WD benefits baked into less batter, you’ll have to get creative with options, for example, a base 1500 Tradesman, 1500 Lone Star, or a low-profile Big Horn.

Or you can take a look at BackCountry’s new Dodge RAM for 2022.

New Ram’s off-road models start at $41,780 and include four-wheel drive, a 5.7-liter V8 engine, and an enlarged Cabin (or Quad-Cab in the Ram-Spec) body. The base cab of the Ram Rebel Extended was fitted with a V-6 engine and cost thousands more.

BackCountry Rams are based on Lone Star or Big Horn trim, the second-lowest trim whose name depends on whether it’s sold at dealerships in Texas or one of the other 49 states — guess which one.

While not as powerful or unique as the 2022 Dodge RAM 1500 Rebel off-road package, which includes 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires and an aggressive hood design, the BackCountry maintains its appeal. There are all-terrain tires, skid plates, hill control, off-road shocks, and an electronically locked rear differential.

Most of these BackCountry bits are 1,500 options available, primarily from the off-road kit, which includes skid plates, tow hooks, rear differential locks, and shocks. Ram also includes bedding kits, spray bedding, bed lighting, bed stairs, adjustable straps, and bed extensions. Likewise with Mopar floor mats, black headlights, and black body trim.

We’d like to forego the BackCountry badge on the dashboard, cool body-color grille, and two-tone paint, and instead focus on how to combine all the elements of this special edition Ram for a very high price.

A 2022 Dodge RAM 1500 Rebel with the same cab and 5.7L V-8 engine, for example, makes $50,660, and a regular 1500 Color Star or Big Horn with the off-road kit, bed kit, and a variety of BackCountry matching options makes nearly $50,000 (the model year 2021).

If you can live with the relatively simple black cloth interior and 7.0-inch Uconnect touchscreen (and wait until late 2021 to buy one), you can get a Ram truck outside for little money.

2022 RAM 1500 Hybrid

The 2022 Ram 1500 is not the best pickup truck as it has the “best in class” award, but because it raises expectations for the entire race. Turntables were once judged on roughness rather than thinness.

No longer. With its luxury-class interior and comfortable ride quality, this new Ram easily surpasses the luxury versions of the Chevy Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, and Ford F-150. Its innovative air suspension, built-in cargo bed, folding rear doors, and huge 12.0-inch touchscreen are options that their competitors don’t offer.

Together with the economical and torque-rich six-cylinder diesel engine, the ram raises the standard of the V-6 with the hybrid system and the optional Hemi V-8.

They contribute to the contemporary vibe of the turntable, backed by broad technology and a wide range of capabilities – making the Ram an easy choice for our 10 Best 2022 list and Editor’s Choice award.

Among the many trim levels are the V-6 and V-8 petrol engines, all paired with a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission. Both engines are powered by a 48-volt hybrid system, but the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 can also be obtained without electrical support.

We boarded a few models with the last one and appreciated the engine’s baritone exhaust note and fast acceleration. We’re also driving the Rams on a 3.0-liter V-6 (called EcoDiesel) diesel that produces 480 lb-ft of torque, more than similar diesel engines in Chevy and Ford’s half-ton pickups.

Six cylinders that burn slower than Hemi, but are refined for diesel and provide better fuel economy.

For adventurers, the rugged Rebel model provides a tougher look and legitimate off-road capability.

Unlike the traditional leaf spring arrangement found on domestic competitors, each Ram 1500 has an impressive ride thanks to the rear suspension using a standard coil spring or an optional air spring.

Models equipped with air suspension even have an adjustable ride height that aids fuel efficiency and off-road capability. Light steering and powerful brakes ensure comfortable cruising and a safe stance at the same time.

Ram 1500 series has variable fuel economy with V-6 and V-8 hybrid engines and diesel options.

The EPA estimates that the most efficient V-6 Ram will get 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, while the V-8 version is rated at 17 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.

The government estimates that diesel-powered Rams will reach 22 mpg city and 32 highways; These numbers are slightly lower on all-wheel drive. T

The Rebel we tested achieved a road speed of 24 mpg on a real-world fuel-efficient 75 mph route, which is part of our extensive testing regime.

That’s 6 mpg better than the gas-only V-8 Rebel and 4 mpg better than the non-hybrid V-8 Laramie we tested.

2022 RAM 1500 Pickup

The Ram 1500 truck has been our top-rated light-duty pickup since this latest generation debuted in 2019. It sets the class standard in terms of technology integration, interior material quality, and ride comfort while providing rugged towing and hauling capabilities.

By 2022, the competition will be stiffer: Ford will launch a redesigned F-150 for 2022.

The F-150 is coming to the market with major interior improvements and a lot of serious new technology. Can it bring down 1500 Ram?

Not if Ram wants to say something about it. This 1500-year-old gets new optional technology features such as a driver’s head-up display, available digital rearview mirrors, new performance and off-road readings via a 12-inch touch screen, and a trailer reverses control system that directs the truck for you as you direct your trailer to your parking space.

Small potatoes, you say? Okay, how about the all-new TRX 1500 Ram? It features a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that churns out 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. That’s a lot.

Ram says the TRX can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds – an astonishing number for a fast pickup truck like this one.

But that’s not all. The TRX also gets a wide-body fender, 35-inch tires, custom suspension, a reinforced frame, and a 2-inch chassis lift, all to enhance the high-speed off-road performance.

With a potential price tag approaching $ 100,000, a fully loaded TRX is certainly not for everyone.

Then again, that’s the beauty of a full-size truck – there’s a version to fit every need, want, and budget. For now, the 2022 Ram 1500 leads the full-size pickup package. But check back later this year to see how it compares to the new F-150.

2022 RAM 1500 Rebel

The 2022 Ram 1500 offers something for nearly every full-size truck buyer, and it does so with more style, inside and out, than its competitors. It also benefits from a five-link spring rear suspension which offers better ride quality than its similar rivals, which still use leaf springs.

The Ram’s optional air suspension further enhances the driving dynamics. We weren’t surprised to get past rival Chevrolet Silverado to take second place in the pickup sales war behind the Ford F-Series.

The Ram 1500 was last redesigned for 2019. 2022 gets an optional head-up display, digital rearview mirrors, Trailer Reverse Steering Control, a Snow Plow Prep pack, and a Pedestrian Detection setup.

The Longhorn Limited 10th Anniversary Edition gets a unique badge and a Mountain Brown interior.

The base 2022 engine continues to use a 3.6-liter V6 engine assisted by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system called the Ram eTorque. The combination offers 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque and achieves the EPA’s estimated fuel economy figures of 20 mpg city, 25 mpg, and 22 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive, and 19/24/21 with four-wheel drive.

The rear-drive V6-powered HFE trim level adds one mpg to the city and highway score. Two 5.7 liter V8 engines are available, and both produce 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. In the most efficient rear-drive layout, the options that benefit from eTorque reach 17/23/19, while the non-eTorque versions yield 15/22/17.

A 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine producing 260 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque was added last year and is being used for 2022. Its EPA rating is 22 mpg city, 32 mpg highway and 26 mpg combined in a 4×2 trim meaning it is The most efficient 1500 ram available.

In the 4×4 form factor, it offers 21 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and a combined 24 mpg.

From the bare-bones Tradesman who can pull in as much as 12,750 pounds through the bestselling Big Horn and Lone Star models and straight through the luxurious leather Laramie, Longhorn, and Limited editions, the Ram includes a wide range of truck buyers.

The off-road-oriented rebel is also available with unique styling, fat tires, and heavy-duty chassis suspension.

2022 RAM 1500 Limited Release Date

2022 Ram 1500 does not get a big change from the previous model year. However, the Ram 1500 2022 gets subtle new features such as a head-up display, a fully digital rearview mirror, and features that control the steering of the truck when it is backing into the trailer.

For off-road shenanigans, there’s a new 2022 Ram 1500 TRX variant that gets 702 hp. 2022 RAM 1500 also rivals the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and GMC Sierra 1500.

The Ram 1500 2022 price starts at $ 32,245 for the base Tradesman trim and ranges up to $ 59,750 for the top-line AWD variant.

This does not include the $ 1695 destination fee invited by Ram 1500. For rent, consider 2022 Ram 1500 at a cost of approximately $ 265 per month for 36 months, with $ 3980 due at signing.

2022 RAM Truck Delivery Time

  • It’s normal for 3-4 weeks.

2022 RAM 1500 Price

This adds $ 10,920 to the total Super Crew Raptor. This is where we believe the Rebel TRX will fail in terms of price, right around the $ 70,000 mark.

Although the 2022 RAM Truck hasn’t officially announced anything, including the price, we were told to expect it to be very competitive for Ford’s offer. This will be one of the shootouts between two pickups that are capable of off-road.

2022 RAM 1500 is expected to start production at the end of August 2022 according to the fleet production schedule. We estimate the release date around early fall.

The price has not been confirmed. With no change in employment, we expect the 2023 RAM 1500 to remain close to the current MSRP range from $ 33,840 to $ 59,210 (including destination fees).

2022 RAM 1500 TRX Price

Is The RAM Rebel Trx Coming Out, Even though the TRX starts just north of $ 71,000, that’s a lot of trucking for the money? No other pick-up truck makes more than 700 horsepower and looks as aggressive as Mike Tyson in his prime.

Price has become a big question. When talking about the Ford F-150 Raptor, the base model, there is no choice of Super Crew models starting at USD 58,135. For those who choose the 802A Luxury option on their Raptor, the package that we believe is in harmony with what we expect comes from Ram’s new TRX.

2022 RAM Sport 1500 Price

Approaching 2022 Ram 1500 will cost around $ 30,000 which is no drastic change in price at all. The hybrid version will cost around $ 35,000 and the top trim levels from $ 40,000 to $ 70,000. The Ram 1500 TRX is also arriving and this performance-oriented version will rival the Ford Raptor variant.

Verdict

The 2022 ram 1500 has better technology, more power, better ride quality, and more capabilities.

The Hellcat-powered TRX 1500 ram made it a massive 702-hp.

Seriously all expectations are met with what is in 2022 ram 1500. But the big question remains on the price? but for that, we must wait and see.

The guide price is $ 94,950. Based on the Manufacturer’s Recommended Retail Price (MSRP)
