Robert Hegbloom Named Head of RAM Truck Brand

26-Year Chrysler Veteran Takes Reins at Appropriate Time: The automotive business is advancing quicker than ever before, and this is due to more than simply technological breakthroughs. The competitive scene, both nationally and worldwide, has never been more fierce, so it is not uncommon for changes to occur within the executive ranks of organizations and brands.

That is exactly what happened with Chrysler’s Ram truck brand, which is widely regarded as one of the company’s most crucial in terms of development potential and share. Today, Robert “Bob” Hegbloom, a 26-year Chrysler veteran, was named head of the Ram brand, succeeding Reid Bigland and stepping up from his former position as head of Ram brand marketing.

Bigland was designated head of the Alfa Romeo brand in North America. He will keep his current positions as head of U.S. sales and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Hegbloom has considerable experience and knowledge of Chrysler’s truck and SUV products, having served as marketing manager for Dodge trucks in 2001, senior manager of Dodge vehicle product planning in 2005, and senior manager of Dodge truck marketing in 2006.

He also handled the company’s truck and SUV product development. Hegbloom was most recently the director of Chrysler’s truck, large SUV, and commercial vehicle marketing before taking on the Ram brand product marketing post in 2011.

Hegbloom has a bachelor’s degree in automotive management from Ferris State University and a Master of International Business from Central Michigan University.
